March 12, 200817 yr iTunes update (note the climb for BWO!) 1. Charlotte Perelli 2. Sanna Nielsen 3. Rongedal 4. Sibel 5. BWO 6. Nordman 7. Amy Diamond perhaps the other 3 finalists aren't available to download? I can't imagine them not being in the top 100... Ola and Carola/Andreas still in the top 10 with Suzzie Tapper and E-Type in the top 15... Just imagine if our 6 entries in the UK selection had this much impact on our chart :o I wonder if Sweden will let us have one of their 9 losers in place of Andy Abraham
March 12, 200817 yr in my opinion: SONG 1 - Charlotte Perelli - Hero This is a brilliant pop track, completely different to the more Abba sound of Take Me To Your Heaven, complete with a key change, just sublime...deserves to win! 9.3/10 ESC finishing position prediction: 3rd SONG 2 - Sibel - That Is Where I'll Go This ballad is a grower...not the strongest ballad here but it gets better as the song goes by especially as the strings come in...I wouldn't mind if this won but I can't see it happening... 9.0/10 ESC finishing position prediction: 13th SONG 3 - Rongedal - Just A Minute Like Peter says, very Scissor Sisters ish but I find it to be much much more like Mika...it would have fit perfectly on Life In Cartoon Motion...similar piano, falsetto vocals, big camp pop chorus...excellent! 9.3/10 ESC finishing position prediction: 5th SONG 4 - Linda Bengtzing - Hur Svart Kan Det Va One of the few Swedish songs, I can't see it winning but I imagine it would be translated if it did...an English version of this could be very good though the Swedish version is quite good too 8.0/10 ESC finishing position prediction: 14th SONG 5 - Christer Sjogren - I Love Europe The worst song here...some old cabaret singer who really really reminds me of Tony Christie...even his name is similar...absolutely appaling 0.2/10 ESC finishing position prediction: 22nd SONG 6 - Amy Diamond - Thank You The production of this is reminiscent to 2003/2004 era Rachel Stevens while the melody is very catchy...Amy's voice is still very young sounding but she is only 15 and it's very good when taking that into consideration...I love it 9.4/10 ESC finishing position prediction: 10th SONG 7 - Sanna Nielsen - Empty Room The best ballad here...as Peter says, its all been heard before but this is quality stuff...if it gets sent to Belgrade it would most likely get the ballad vote as it is slower and more epic than the slightly more uptempo ballads from Norway and Switzerland...Her voice is great too...why can I imagine Delta doing a great cover of this!?! 9.5/10 ESC finishing position prediction: 3rd SONG 8 - Nordman - I Lagnornas Sken Not my favourite but by no means bad...a sort of rock/folk mash-up sung in Swedish, if it was chosen I wonder if it would be translated at all as it seems to work well in Swedish! 7.2/10 ESC finishing position prediction: 16th SONG 9 - Frida feat. Headline - Upp O Hoppa Odd summer sounding rap/pop/reggae that sounds like something out of 1998 (or to be more precise T-Spoon's Sex On The Beach). It is insanely catchy for a Swedish song though and I like it a lot...8.8/10 ESC finishing position prediction: 17th SONG 10 - BWO - Lay Your Love On Me The big finish! I have always loved BWO...Temple Of Love, Chariots Of Fire and Sunshine In The Rain are amazing pop songs and this is no different...reminiscent of Madonna's Hung Up in parts of the chorus, it is a return to form for a band whose last album, in my opinion, wasn't as good as previous stuff...9.5/10 ESC finishing position prediction: 5th

Im hoping Charlotte or Sanna win, i wouldnt mind Amy Diamond or BWO either as i love their songs to. Edited March 12, 200817 yr by Conor
March 13, 200817 yr Wow i have to say Sibel has some amazing songs, ive brought some of her album off I-Tunes and its a stunning pop album, very much like Delta Goodrems first two albums best tracks.
March 13, 200817 yr Author Swedish iTunes update: 1. Charlotte 2. Sanna Nielson 4. Rongedal 5. Sibel 6. BWO 7. Amy Diamond 8. Nordman Looking good - Top 3 for my three favourites :D:D:D:D
March 14, 200817 yr It has to be BWO. Charlotte Perelli has better songs, and that Amy was horrid live. Yes. It should be BWO. Just look at the video they've created, Sure, it's not the best - but the guys getting off with each other was nice. d63oOSOxr_s Edited March 14, 200817 yr by Aaron.
March 14, 200817 yr Having listened to all 10 of the songs on repeat since the start of the week here are my new rankings (iTunes style) lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll Sanna Nielsen llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll BWO llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll Charlotte Perelli lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll Amy Diamond llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll Sibel lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll Rongedal llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll Frida llllllllllllllllllll Linda Bengtzing llllllllll Nordman ll Christer Sjogren I'll be ecstatic if anyone from Sanna to Rongedal win...I would be happy with Frida or Linda (it would never happen though) and I'd be less than pleased if the other two win
March 15, 200817 yr Just watching some of the interviews on ESC Today...I had no idea Amy Diamond was British :o
March 15, 200817 yr Author Just watching some of the interviews on ESC Today...I had no idea Amy Diamond was British :o She's not British, but English is her first language.
March 15, 200817 yr She's not British, but English is her first language. Oh...she had a convincing accent :w00t:
March 15, 200817 yr Author Oh...she had a convincing accent :w00t: Her parents are Swedish but she did live in England until she was 4, so she was born with English and learnt Swedish upon her return, but she's definitely considered Swedish, or else she wouldn't be allowed to enter I don't think. March 15, 200817 yr downloading album right now! can't wait to hear all of them finalists!!! love BWO's song!! if chosen it's top 10 for sure!
March 15, 200817 yr great show, such a high budget...makes the BBC's weak effort look so cheap in comparison 10 minutes until the end and it looks as if Charlotte Perelli will be going to Belgrade
March 15, 200817 yr Charlotte Perelli has won thanks to the juries...the public preferred Sanna Nielsen :o
March 15, 200817 yr I subscribed Melodifestivalen from my cable company (or, well, I subscribed SVT) and Charlotte was by far the best. BWO was very good but he doesn't sing that well live and Sanne was a bit bland. The right choice, I think Sweden will finish in the ESC top five, maybe even win with this one if the Eastern Europe diaspora voting doesn't matter that much this year.
March 15, 200817 yr I wonder if it could win...Carola's similar Invincible only managed 5th two years ago...I see about 8th for this one to be honest...I think the Balkan states and Armenia will be high up this year
March 16, 200817 yr good winning song! top 5 in Belgrade I predict ^_^ I was cheering for BWO but still good choice Sweden ;)
