timebox 'beggin'... a great cover from 68 of the four seasons track

check out this users other tracks, i know him! hes a fellow metal detectorist, and hes uploading loads of rare 60's tracks... username 'jimmytheferret'.

Now this is a left over from my time in the early 80s when I still listened to the chart. This was off the Beverly Hills Cop soundtrack and why it only got to #31 is a mystery to me. Not my usual style of track but hey!

Reel Big Fish - Sell Out

Big hit in 1996, cant imagine everyone else liking it as much as me, for some reason there my favourite band but although they still tour and make albums for a breif time they were mainstream and this is there biggest hit.

tim rose (wrote 'hey joe') morning dew... a 'miss' from 67..

I FCUKIN LOVE THIS TRACK!!!

please ignore the silly vid

My next recommendation is this fab tune from the Kids soundtrack. It's a mellow groove gem from Lou Barlow who is better known as a one time member of Dinsaur Jr and the leader of Sebadoh.

It was absolutely criminal that this only reached #45 in 1996.

Folk Implosion - Natural One

I have been slowly converting all my cds to mp3 files (been doing this since since April 07!) and this was in the latest batch I dug out:

The Slingbacks - All Pop No Star

This is a great glitter stomp of a record (big clue in the video there!)

heres an oldie... they dont have to be 'cool' to qualify for recomendation!

sandy shaw 'run'..... i LOVE this track :)

The Smiths played a bigger role in influencing Oasis than the Roses did.

Apart from that being utter bollocks, this is a recommendation thread! For recommending music.

And here is mine:

Just saw this lot at Beautiful Days and they were superb but this was the encore.

Originally a Specials tune which SLF unashamedly nicked.

Stiff Little Fingers - Doesn't Make It All Right

Tim Buckley - Song To The Siren . From the album "Starsailor" 1970. This guy had one of the most amazing voice I've heard

I love this song
