Thought I'd recommend two of my favourite dance tracks from the late 80s (I don't think I have posted these before!)

Beatmasters & P.P. Arnold - Burn It Up

Humanoid - Stakker Humanoid

A great idea to revive this thread:

.... All I'll say is here are three tracks by a band I say live three times (Bristol Academy 1989; Crystal Palace, London 1990; London Brixton Academy 1991).

Pixies - Gigantic (1988 live)

Pixies - Monkey Gone To Heaven (1989 live))

Pixies - Velouria (1990 live)

Been doin' quite a bit of driving today so was replacing my Lady GaGa, Paolo Nutini, Take That, etc cd's in my car with some from my 'old' stock. Been listening to this fella again. The irreplaceable Jake Thackray.

To celebrate the reformation of one of the best all-girl groups from the 80s, here's the wonderful Fuzzbox with Rules and Regulations.

some great oldies i remember well been suggested on here, so i'd go for something really old & obscure I doubt is on youtube:

it's a pop metal track Alan Freeman used to play in late 1971 that never charted by a group that never made it, but which has a poptastic riff and great hook and is a sort of "I Am What I Am Like It Or Lump It" sentiment.

Life's Too Short by Rescue Company Number One.

If I can find a youtube link i'll add it...

A song by Jody Watley from 1993 which only charted in the US on 3 different charts and even then it didn't get much chart success except the club plays, it was also on a soundtrack to a film called Bébé's Kids but the film didn't do too well in the cinemas.

U.S. Billboard Hot 100 #100

U.S. Billboard Hot R&B Singles #26

U.S. Billboard Hot Dance Club Plays #2

In my opinion I think where it charted it's quite an underrated song.
