That post works more like a propaganda thing about the name of the country n less about the song...

Erm... no? When it was held in Greece and "Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia" was shown on the scoreboard, it was the biggest pisstake EVER! :mellow: I personally refer to the country FYR Macedonia, but the majority just say Macedonia, regardless of where they live. ^_^

I think it's obvious that people don't mean a Greek province when they refer to it as the Republic of Macedonia FFS...

Oh, and on topic, I will choose to vote for the song if it grows on me, not be ordered to vote for it :smoke: I was planning on voting for Norway anyway :drama:

The United Kingdom recognises them as Republic of Macedonia though. And we're ALWAYS right. :heehee:

The large majority of countries refer to the country as the Republic of Macedonia, indeed, it is only for fear of offending the Greeks that FYR Macedonia is still used.

 

Anyway, what's the big problem? France has Brittany which Great Britain is derived from, yet you don't see them getting all tetchy about it and saying we must be called the United Kingdom! :lol:
