I missed it too. It's not the bother of getting there, it's the impossibility of returning home the same day.

Otherwise it means an overnight hotel, and no cheap day return rail tickets. Matinees are possible, but all

too many events are in the evening.

At leasst if I leave right away and run like mad, I can usually catch the last train home from London. I've only really had a problem 3 times when I either stayed too late, the show was too long or I didn't run fast enough.
I can only make it if the venue is a short taxi ride from Victoria Coach Station - none of the trains are late enough.
I'm somewhat dubious about coach travel......I can feel sick in the back of a car. Maybe they'd let me drive?
I've a feeling the other passengers may prefer the driver driving. You can always put it to the vote though.
Are you insinuating that my driving might be along the highway to Heaven? Such faith!!! But probably justified!

I don't relish long coach journeys but if it's the only way I can manage to see darius, I'll do them.

I'm happy enough to do 3 or 4 hour journeys because I got used to that when mother was alive but not fully fit. She liked to go on days out by coach. She didn't mind how early we had to get up or how late we got home, just so long as she could sleep in her own bed. It was better than me driving her to the same places because we could really chat and enjoy the journey together rather than me stressing trying to drive and chat at the same time.

My mother was a very shy lady. She enjoyed being in a small trusted grouping within a larger one but she would never make any approach to the larger group herself. My father, however, was an extrovert and spoke to anyone. I can see traits of both in me. I think that not being comfortable in the front row is definitely from my mum. She was a stalls person too. My father preferred the circle and above where he could see everything at the same time.

On DS there is a comment by natasha on Tom cruises wife apppearing in eli stone -

Rex Features

Katie Holmes's cameo in the legal drama Eli Stone was "exquisite", according to ABC president Stephen McPherson.

Co-star Natasha Henstridge told People that Holmes was "statuesque and gorgeous" in the role, which required dancing and singing skills.

The actress agreed to guest star in the show after being recruited by executive producer Greg Berlanti, who she worked with on Dawson's Creek.

The episode will air in the US on October 2

Isnt it a shame Natasha wasnt asked about her role, isnt she in it all the time whereas Katie holmes is just guest starring but it seems she is getting the same block as D.

I normally sit in the back row of the circle at my local theatre, not of course at shows when D is appearing although like PIP i wouldnt book the front row. This is because the back row has so much leg room and a few weeks ago we booked near the front of the circle and neither of us could move there was so little leg room so we moved to the back row yet again and we had acres of leg room and a good view as we had the gangway down right in front of us so Im sticking with that here but it is different when Im going to the westend.
Surely it's not just the front row that the actors can see.More usually the first few rows.
Nor to me, but some people seem to dodge the front rows.
I like sitting in the front row when Darius is on stage.
In GWTW the crinoline's sometimes blocked our view. I was so tempted to tell Jill to move over.

I don't think it's anything to do with whether I can be seen, bramley. I think it's more not having anything in front of me. I don't generally sit in seats with a passageway in front either.

It's awkward because a lot of my friends love those seats as there's no squeezing in and out past others.

Ah well, we all have our oddities.....good job too, or we would all be alike. It's our idiosyncrasies that make each

one of us special.
