Sorry for double post but needed to say this. I hate jazz(surprise surprise) and JC reminds me of a small version of the Elephant Man, who's voice just mashes most different songs into a singularity, YUK!!! :puke2:

I don't mind SOME jazz but it's not my favorite and vocally, Jamie just is not to my taste at all.

The Burt Bacharach song Darius sang on PI was "What The World Needs Now" - one of the corniest songs written by him and perhaps selected for just that reason. Darius was capable of singing something with much more punch.

Strangely enough I can't remember what any of the others sang that night. Can anyone else?

No neither can I. I did enjoy the Maidstone set though - even if I did prefer the accoustic hour he did first.

From Natasha's site. In LA VH1 save the music

This was taken yesterday, October 25th.

What has he done to his hair? Chopped short....I hate it. Prefer it longish as at BS.

oh, I love his sop look, similar to Maidstone where he had it combed back and longish, but I love this look as well...darn I am not fussy as long as its darius wearing it

Maidstone hair was more casual - and we know it could turn into a lion's mane with a little bit of rock.

oh yes, that hair style is so wanton.. probably my fav, looking like he is just about keeping it under control, he is blessed with lovely hair, shame it is has to be controlled I absolutely long for him to take on a role requiring a long mane of hair curling down his shoulders and that beard back again . wonder how long it will be till we see him again..hotel babylon next year seems an age to wait

yes, or films when the lead man is a man, gone are those days - swashbuckling, cowboys and men in uniforms..keep catching those old screen idol films and thinking Darius would have been ideal in those films, now all the men are four foot tall and look 15 and just dont have the instant charisma those leading men had - I am getting old for sure.

Claire found this one as well.

From now on we're never going to know whether any new hairstyle is Darius's choice or if it's styled that way for some other reason. That looks like a couple of days stubble. Is he growing a beard/moustache?

However nothing Darius does to his hair will ever I hope be anywhere near as bad as that shaggy overgrown beard Brad Pitt grew for a movie which never materialised. That was really suffering for his art - he had to walk about looking dreadful for months.

I'm hoping that look was for Hotel Babylon and he wont have it again. I think it's a worse one than the blonde bits. I know what he looks like doesn't alter the person but it does alter people's perception of him. It's OK for us as we all know him but I don't think it'll encourage anyone who is not aware of him now.

Some pictures, including this one, emphasise those distinctive little bits of Darius's hairline which jut out at the sides and when his hair is as short as this, the comparison makes him almost appear as if he has a receding hairline on that side.

And will probably be able to have the same style in 30 yrs time. My father in law's hair was similar for that, and he still had loads, in the same pattern when he died.
My dad had a full head of hair too - it was very thick and wiry and he just couldn't keep it under control for long. Nowadays they'd be some hair product which would keep it neat all day.
