I watched the final under pressure from a visitor who was around at the time.
I tend to see bits of things that I'd chose not to watch when the kids are involved in watching them.

Watched Bonekickers as Adrian Lester was in it........shan't watch again. And he has turned down a new series of

Hustle for that. Marc Warren has dropped out of Hustle too. And New Tricks was disappointing.....used to be really

funny.

Ivce just booked to see My fair lady. It is the local operatic society but they are extremely professional good as the westend so am looking forward to it,. They have spent 45,000 on it. I have also booked to see - wait for it - the Bankok lady boys. This is a one nighter but has been before so must be successful. It is show like the las vegas show girls and bluebell girls etc but the l6 cast are all men. I suppose I am curious but it has a great review from the manchester news.
oh dear just realised that I wasnt going to take any notice of reviews again.

Oh dear, Preston, you may well be in a small minority at the Bankok Lady Boys. Don't you think it will attract all

the gay boys? My Fair Lady sounds as if it will be a fabulous production......however did the local operatic company manage to raise £45000 ? Sometimes amateur productions have more originality (in all aspects....lighting. choreography

etc) than professional shows. Hope you enjoy both shows.....hope you give us a report.

Don't let me put you off the Bankok Lady Boys.........I was only kidding.

There was a successful musical a few years ago in London, La Cage aux Folles. where the men dressed as women dancers. This

was advertised as a family show.....it was a comedy. It was one of the top London shows.

The most moving similar-vein DVD is Rent, about a year in the life of a group of bohemian youngsters infected

with HIV. At the dinner table, place after place becomes empty in the course of the year. Very moving. Has

anyone seen the show? On Broadway it won Tony and Pulitzer awards.

The 45,000 was what the local paper said it was costing them, dont know how they raised it. The bankok lady boys we are sitting in the very back row just in case they decide to flit off stage. I think you could be right about the rest of the audience though.
There are several Bangkok Lady Boys video clips on youtube.

George Clooney is adopting the Clark Gable image of Rhett Butler for the latest series of advertisements

for Martini, now being filmed.

This is one filmed last year. I know who my favourite Rhett is ( or was ).

I suppose it must be after seeing D, but Clooney does look old.

I have never been able to see why he is generally considered to be attractive. Just an ordinary guy

with a nice smile.

I liked him in ER...and a few other films, he's quite attractive, but that advert doesn't do him any favours
