I think that's where I've got to.

I can't believe Darius is the only person they write absolute drivel about and because I'm interested in all things Darius, I know how much of it is based on any factual accuracy at all.

too true, it was all the rubbish I read about Darius that made me realise stuff I ws reading before and taking on face value as probably just as much rubbish!
It's funny they always get stuff right about their favourites. Could that be,perhaps, because it's handed to them by powerful PR people almost exactly as they put it out?

I think there is more in this than meets the eye.

The sun for instance always have a good words for artistes under a certain banner and before you say so no I dont buy or like the sun but its useful sometimes for information. When I say a certain number of artistes they always have good words for lee mead, denise van outen, john barrowman, duncan james etc etc. I read that louis walsh manages lee mead and the boy who came second and of course louis walsh was a judge with SC. We then see that ALW is not to appear on the oliver show this week as his is appearing on american idol with who but SC. is there a connection would you say.

The interviewer from the 5.30 show asked Darius what he thought about still getting those sort of headlines despite coming so far - she quoted Fop Idol and Darius Danesh Does Give A Damn and he shrugged it off. He isn't concerned at all.

He said he just thinks it's part of being in this wonderful show business.

Preston, the names you quote are all ones who have been sympathetically presented on T.V. I have always

believed that 'Buzzcocks' did a great deal of harm to D.s career.

Do you mean the Buzzcocks after Popstars, Bramley? I'm not aware of any other time he was on the show.

He was really good on that. He took all the ribbing in his usual good humoured way. He didn't have a career as such then to ruin because he'd just turned down Sony's recording contract to go back to uni.

I seem to remember the audience laughing at him rather than with him.

I can't make the 5 o'clock show play, only the plug for it.

What's the bit about snakeskin shoes?

Have now accessed it through Rachel's link .....interesting glimpses of the show.

The top hat??? Seven feet tall? I hope not.

In the clip which is part of The making of....part 4, Darius is carrying a top hat and a cane.
He wore the black top hat for a couple of scenes in the preview I saw but it didn't look quite right to me.
let's hope he just carries it then or he will look like the cat in the top cat! I loved the video on .net though, and I am glad the interviewer mentioned the flack he gets when he has come so far - as usual Darius dismissed it with his usual good humour

It's good that people other than his fans are noticing that there's a big difference between the credit he's given and what someone else would be given for the same achievement.

There was a very glowing article in yesterday's Mail with a huge picture of Marti Pellow who's taking the lead in a tour of Witches of Eastwick in about September ( rehearsals start July). Darius got barely a mention when he did Guys And Dolls.

Darikus doesn't wear the hat or carry the cane in the number for 'I'm Your Man'. I love how it is now even though it's shorter.
Hope you got your Sunday Post...and the telegraph ;)

Both.

I thought the top hat looked all wrong for Rhett Butler and anyway I thought he was supposed to display good manners even they were just out of contempt. He wouldn't be rude enough to wear it indoors speaking to ladies.
