So do we prefer theatre or films (bearing in mind that D is quite likely to move on to films).

PROS and CONS

THEATRE l FILM

Live actors so genuine performance l Performances perfected by repeat takes

Stage effects limited l Camera work and trickery make better effects

Cost greater....seat prices higher plus travel expense l Local cinema cheaper and more accessible

Limited choice of show in neighbouring vicinity l Usually greater choice of films in multi-screen cinemas

Better atmosphere in theatre l Cinema seldom seems such a special occasion

Etc l Etc

Do you prefer theatre or films?

This post has not come up on screen in two tables as I wrote it. Don't know how to change it....sorry!

In terms of seeing Darius, any film at all would probably have one very significent plus - a DVD and therefore a permanent memento of something he has put his heart and soul into.

It saddens me that even Darius himself has no physical record of his now hundreds of MT stage performances , especially GWTW. At least he has the video which Booth took of some of his music gigs.

Mmmm....but at a theatre there is the bonus of seeing Darius either before or after the show. If he does go into

films, living in L.A. , there is a possibilty we may never see him again.

I much prefer seeing Darius live, whether as a singer or as an actor, because every performance is unique. However, I do feel for his many fans who have never had that opportunity and often I feel guilty that I have been so fortunate.

I love going to the theatre and have really enjoyed meeting not only Darius and his family but more so everyone else.

As for films....as BT says it would be available to everyone and with DVDs something to keep.

I do hope that he does release his next cds and some live gigs

Is there some kind of timetable for releasing a new album and/or single? I mean is there a good time for this, autumn,

summer etc? Obviously there is a tremendous amount of competition at Christmas so presumably that is not a good

time. (Apart from the X-factor winner, Peter Kay and Gary Barlow are releasing a single, as also is George Michael)

I dont know about timetable but there are a lot releasing before now and xmas. Dido is releasing her first album for five years shortly. Presumably because she is well known she can get away without much promotion. However I dont undersatand why D disappears for long periods without media coverage, dont think that is a good thing. I think Natasha must have him wrapped around her finger but still dont understand why other artistes manage to cope with all aspects ie career, gigging, etc etc. Have you seen the thread on DM re this.

On D's MySpace page, it puts him with 19 but also Indie. I didn't understand Indie so I looked it up. If I read it

correctly it means he has, at the moment, no record company. So that may be a stumbling block. If Daniel

Bedingfield has been trying to find one for two years, it makes you wonder.

When Darius is in LA he's not going to get any media coverage other than being Natasha's partner.

When he comes here he will, as we have seen.

From what I understand Darius still is under contract for 3 more cds but needs a distributor, which is why we may be looking at internet sales....downloads.

Until we hear from him we are only guessing.

I do wish we would hear something soon.

Is the distributor separate then? I thought the record company handled all aspects, publicity, distribution, etc.

I thought D's contract for the five altogether, was with Universal, who dropped him, thus voiding the contract.

Isn't 19 his agent?

His contact was with brilliant 19 so he still has 3 cds to produce before he can leave

19 is a record label on which quite a few artists, notably those from American Idol have released. I think I also remember Emma Bunton releasing on 19 here.

I've always understood Indie to refer to a record label which is totally independent of the major groups i.e not one of the many labels under the EMI, Sony-BMG, Universal etc. banners. I've never heard of it defined as not having a record company.

Can't remember where I read it, but I have obviously misunderstood.

I just hope D hurries up with the next CD.

Ooh, I've just seen I have passed the 1000 posts!!! Do I get a prize?

Good grief, just seen BT has over 11000 !!! I shall plod on.

I thought the same as Baytree re Indie label. However GG ha managed to release an album which 1
