Should Eurovision go back to official languages and celebrate that countries culture and music in their entries

or do you like Slavs that sound like Shakira, Scandinavians that sound Irish etc.

or does this reflect the point that all Europe is the same these days in culture. it's all Americanized and mono (apart from france perhaps   )

Yeah, much better pre-1999 when they had to sing in their own languages. The UK got more votes then if someone wanted to vote for an English song - there was only us, Ireland and Malta.

Well, the Norwegians and French sang in mother-tongue....

The Germans could always get Rammstein to represent them next year, they always sing in German....LOL

The only songs this year that sang in their own language in the final I think were France, Norway, Bosnia-Herz, Croatia, Spain and Turkey. The rest sang in English. -_-
No, I think it should be up to the participants to decide which language to use. I understand why the Brits after so many back-to-back disappointments might want to switch back to native languages (it would certainly give UK a huge advantage just like for Cyprus and Ireland) but no. I think this year there were a whole bunch of good tracks and I had no problems with so many English language ones...
