March 28, 200817 yr I take it then that all of you who answered 'no' to the 'Should the death penalty be brought back in the UK?' would now vote 'yes' and bring it back on this occasion? Blood and sand - she's a bit of a nutter and has shaved McCartney's bank balance by less than half a percent - but she hasn't murdered anyone! He was a bloody fool to marry her but that was his fault. There's no fool like an old fool as they say. But I agree ... Paul McCartney is/was a Beatle and by default he must surely be a saint. Norma
March 28, 200817 yr Author I take it then that all of you who answered 'no' to the 'Should the death penalty be brought back in the UK?' would now vote 'yes' and bring it back on this occasion? Blood and sand - she's a bit of a nutter and has shaved McCartney's bank balance by less than half a percent - but she hasn't murdered anyone! He was a bloody fool to marry her but that was his fault. There's no fool like an old fool as they say. But I agree ... Paul McCartney is/was a Beatle and by default he must surely be a saint. Norma Jeez..... To think you've accused me of having no sense of humour. As for shaving McCartney's Bank Balance by less than 0.5%.... Since when was £24.3 million divided by £400 million less than 0.5%???? To my maths that is just over 6%. Or another way of phrasing it she got £6,000,000 per year of marriage or £115,385 per week or nearly £16,500 per day or £687 per hour of marriage. But hey that is never enough to live on is it. Still I suppose she deserves to be paid more in 12 days than what the Prime Minister Gordon Brown is paid in a year. But hey it is not enough for her to live on is it. The reason everyone hates Heather Mills is not because she got her claws into Paul McCartney at his first appearance since the death of the love of his life at the annual Pride of Britain charity event in April 1999, only in the last fortnight his longtime friend Cilla Black admitted to host Paul O'Grady on his Channel 4 that she deeply regrets encouraging him to go to that event. The reason she is hated is not because she married an ex-Beatles nor her divorce where she was rightly entitled to a share of the income accrued during their period of marriage, but because time and again she has been exposed as a liar, fantasist, gold-digger and not a very nice person. Here are some of the reasons why she is rightly despised: FICTION: Fantasist Heather Mills's claimed that she was offered a peerage. Paul McCartney's ex boasted seven years ago that she was "50:50" about accepting the title Baroness Mills. The former model insisted that she had been asked to sit in the Lords and, as part of a Government-backed initiative, had the support of a Lord Macdonald. FACT: But her claims are denied by all three Lord Macdonalds in ITV1's McCartney v McCartney: The Ex Files. One of them retired two years before her claim. Another said he had never spoken to her and the third, ex-Transport Minister Gus McDonald, had no recollection of meeting her. FICTION: Heather, 40, claimed in 1996 that she had been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize. FACT: Norwegian officials responsible for the Noble Peace Prize said she was never even discussed as a candidate whilst no evidence for this exists from the minutes taken from the meetings held in 1996. FICTION: Mills’ autobiography ‘Out on a Limb’ gave a sensational account of a kidnap at the hands of a paedophile. FACT: Her best childhood friend claims it was a total fabrication. Whilst Heather never went to the Police over her allegations. FICTION: In October 2006 she announced her intention to sue the the Daily Mail, Evening Standard and The Sun. FACT: The Sun, which regularly refers to her as "Mucca" (a play on McCartney's nickname "Macca", responded by asking her to "tick the boxes" on a series of allegations the newspaper has made, stating, "It is not clear what exactly she plans to sue us about." The paper then asked: "Come on Heather, what exactly did we get wrong? Is it that you're a ..." Underneath the open question, the Sun listed six allegations about the former model, with a blank box beside each one. The words beside the boxes read: "Hooker, Liar, Porn Star, Fantasist, Trouble Maker, Shoplifter". She has a conviction for shoplifting, she has been proved to be a liar and a fantasist, we've all (unfortunately) seen those porn photos, as far as being a trouble maker all you need to know is that Catherine Tate's Geordie Charity worker is based on her, and the Hooker allegations are well known. FICTION: In December 2006, Mills told the BBC that she had received "death threats," and on December 17, 2006, police warned that a "non-specific threat" had been made to her safety. FACT: In a virtually unprecedented step: In March 2007, Kevin Moore, Chief Superintendent of Sussex Police, said that she was running "the risk of being treated as the little boy who cried wolf." He said, "We do have to respond to a disproportionate high volume of calls from Heather Mills McCartney because of the situations she finds herself in, and this is regrettable as it takes officers away from other policing matters." PLUS: Mills has been accused by several newspapers of having embellished her life story. For example, the journalist Heather Mills, then at The Observer, has accused Mills of impersonating her for over a year in the late 1990s, and the BBC reported a claim from her mother's former partner that Mills had not, in fact, run away from home as a teenager as she had earlier claimed. Then to the divorce: FICTION: In 2007, newspapers revealed fax court documents alleging Paul had attacked his former wife Linda as well as Heather. FACT: Most of Paul's friends came out in support against these astonishing allegations. But most tellingly Wings founder member Denny Laine who had acrimoniously fallen out with Paul came out to condemn these allegations saying "Believe me, Paul is no saint. But I can tell you having worked travelled and lived with the McCartney's for a decade, allegations of Paul hitting Linda are complete and utter lies. Sure, Paul was the sort of guy who would have a blazing row with you but then storm off. I never saw him come remotely close to raising his fists in anger ..... and especially not to Linda who it was obvious to anyone who worked around the band (Wings) at the time he worshipped". A Police investigation led to the revelation that these damaging for Paul allegations were faxed from an Asian Cash Carry by someone who matched a striking similarity to Heather Mills' sister. Despite the Police formerly talking to both both Heather & her sister no further action was taken. FICTION: During the divorce Heather went on GMTV and ranted at tabloids claiming she was after £65 to £75 million for a divorce settlement. "A Pack of lies" she said strongly implying she would be happy to walk away with much less. FACT: The Judge revealed she went after an astonishing £125 million as a divorce settlement. No wonder she thought a settlement of just £24.3 million was outrageous. FICTION: She claimed before her marriage that she owned a penthouse flat in Piccadilly worth "approximately £500,000" when she met Sir Paul, along with a Brighton property "worth £250,000". While she was worth £2-3 million before she met Sir Paul. FACT: He said the penthouse flat "was not worth £500,000 in 1999", adding she sold it in 2001 for £385,000 after the London property market had risen substantially (53%) since 1999. "She did not in 1999 own the property in Brighton. That was not bought until March 2000," he said. He also questioned her claim that she had £2m-£3m in the bank at this time, adding: "There is no documentary evidence to support that assertion." FICTION: She gave "as much as 80% or 90% of her earnings ... direct to charities". FACT: Her claim to have had "very significant earnings as set out in her affidavit" were not supported by her tax returns, the ruling said. "She had not given a penny to charity". FICTION: On her legendary GMTV appearance she claimed that Paul was not giving her any money, closing their shared accounts and was nearly £1.5million in debt. FACT: The ruling revealed she had nearly £7million in the bank, had withdrawn over £3million from their joint account in one go, whilst paying her sister a meagre £385,000 a year as a Personal Trainer for Heather, even though she had no qualifications. That is why I don't like Heather Mills. As for Paul, like most successful pop icons I think it is obvious that their has to be a single minded ruthlessness to stay at the top for so long. The fact is I could say that for virtually all pop stars. Certainly Gary Barlow has been accused of having a similar "self absorbed" character and shows a similar personality streak that Paul clearly has, but that does not make him a bad person. Still it is a fact that Paul gives away 5% of his earnings to charity, and unlike too many to mention popstars he has not gone into tax exile to escape paying taxes. Whilst more credibly he donated in 1993 £20,000,000 of his own money to the setting up of the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts from a derelict site to an active running "Fame Academy" that started in 1996. Currently two LIPA graduated acts The Wombats & The Guillemots are currently in the UK Top40 singles & album charts. Plus he is a bloody great songwriter. And that is why he deserves respect.
March 28, 200817 yr I love posting a post when I know you'll be the first to reply TIP! You always come back with a tome!  Haven't you got me by now? BTW TIP - I'm sorry if it seems like I'm winding you up! Honestly I'm not (or I don't intend to) I find your posts really interesting and well thought out. That coupled with the fact that you appear to be a regular on the Beatles Forum which makes you a sort of kindred spirit to me! But you do seem a little over-serious at times! March 29, 200817 yr erm.... i took your post norma not as light hearted, but serious! we were not being serious in wanting the death penalty for peg leg... it was a joke. but most of us DO dispise her, almost as much as thatcher, and i dont hero worship paul, but i have huge respect for what he did with the beatles as any true music fan shoul.

Well in that case I took your comments about Heather seriously then - and I do think people here are acting WAY over the top about her. Were you all a party to what went on behind closed doors? Do you know what went on? Someone here 'laughingly' suggested that McCartney is rich enough to 'make her disappear' ... one could argue that he is wealth enough and with enough connections to have a judge make a totally one-sided appraisal of the situation. And as far as despising the, quite frankly, harmless Heather Mills-McCartney as much as Thatcher ... then you seriously need to look at your priorities. I would say you are your own example of embracing the celebrity culture. Shouldn't this be kept firmly in the Beatles thread anyway .... as you're all speaking from a Beatles perspective! Norma

April 11, 200817 yr Author http://www.gm.tv/index.cfm?articleid=24657...=1441_gmtv_1765 Here is a link to Heather Mills outrageous interview on GM:TV from this morning. THE REAL REASON HEATHER MILLS THREW THAT WATER Updated: 11:14, Friday April 11, 2008 Daily Mail.co.uk Heather Mills spoke out on GMTV this morning – and admitted throwing water over Sir Paul McCartney’s lawyer Fiona Shackleton at the end of the High Court case. The former model claimed she did it to ‘cleanse and baptise’ her after she muttered something underneath her breath. ‘The trial happened, it finished, I was thanked by the judge, and that was the end of that. I went back to the court, and Paul's lawyers and him argued to have the judgment put out with all my daughter's private information and our private information on this onesided judgment,’ said Heather. ‘And Mrs Shackleton said something under her breath so I cleansed and baptised her. I thought she looked fantastic — I thought it did her the world of good and now I'm getting lots of offers to restyle the hair of women of her age.’ Speaking from the US, Heather launched yet another rant against her ex Sir Paul McCartney. In her first interview since winning a £24.3million divorce settlement from the former Beatle, the Heather went on to sensationally accuse her ex of having three girlfriends. ‘I wish all the girls the best of luck. Better them than me,’ said Heather. Heather, formally Heather Mills McCartney, also added that she was still fighting to get the full transcripts of her divorce hearing made public an accused the judge, Mr Justice Bennett, of being 'onesided.’ Any comments on her latest outburst?

April 11, 200817 yr ‘And Mrs Shackleton said something under her breath so I cleansed and baptised her. I thought she looked fantastic — I thought it did her the world of good and now I'm getting lots of offers to restyle the hair of women of her age.’ I did hear her say this on GMTV this morning. She's obviously learnt nothing from her previous outbursts and it seems that whenever she opens her mouth, she comes out with yet more c**p  I just wish she'd shut up and go away and get on with looking after her little girl. She really needs to move on and start acting with some dignity for once.
April 12, 200817 yr oh christ.... why cant this vampire of a woman roll over and die (metaphorically speaking of course <_< ) wooden steak anyone? no one cares about her, shes like a wasp... in yer face and needs swatting.
