April 23, 200817 yr Author Denmark: Simon Matthews - All Night Long Away from all the ethnic music then, this is the Danish entry. It's not that bad and is a fairly catchy Eurovision style pop song with an uptempo chorus, a slow down before the key change and all the usual conventions...its a far cry from their brilliant country-pop entry of 2001 when Rollo & King came second. This song has an outside chance of scraping through to the final, it will pick up points Sweden and Iceland in its semi but when this country currently have one of the best pop bands in the world, Alphabeat, with Fascination seemingly made for Eurovision at exactly three minutes, its a shame that they can't find something seemingly incredible for the contest... April 23, 200817 yr to the Bulgarian members here: Since when 8 and 7 points are not high points  means 3rd and 4th in the actual voting!!! :???: I'm satisfied with the results. I have never said that I disagree with the vote or the points given. I just said that the vote is not political - nothing more. Eight points are a lot! You can check my post once more, if you wish :) I'm sorry that you have misunderstood me. Edited April 23, 200817 yr by Ina

April 24, 200817 yr Author they were so made for Eurovision...there's six members in the band...aren't you allowed only 6 members on stage!?! fingers crossed next year they will do it, but they're probably too big to be bothered about it now...
May 4, 200817 yr Author Belarus: Ruslan Alehno - Hasta La Vista Performing in the packed second semi-final, Ruslan will be hoping to follow the success of Dimitry Koldun whose excellent song Work Your Magic finished 6th last year. Hasta La Vista is far better of the dire song of the same name from Ukraine in 2003 but its a long way behind the excellence of Koldun. It's a typical Eurovision pop song like something from Scandinavia, though not quite Schlager but it just isn't that memorable apart from the first line of the chorus. His English accent isn't that good either live and he's not as 'pretty' as Koldun, who many people thought bore a resembelance to Princess Diana. Might send Belarus back to the bottom, I can't see it going to the final... May 4, 200817 yr Author San Marino: Miodio - Complice One of the debuting countries this year, San Marino is an incredibly small country surrounded by Italy which has less a population of less than 30,000! with such a small population, musical talent is understandably hard to come across and the first entry by the country is this bland pop/rock ballad. The song is not very strong at all and who will vote for this country for political reasons with Italy not competing? could be a contender for 'nul points' Youtube link: Semi-Final Prediction: 19th (last) Final Prediction (if it makes it): 23rd-24th
May 5, 200817 yr San Marino's entry is AWFUL :( If Andorra can come up with the goods why can't the Sammarinese?
