I had real difficulties finding the cd single in HMV, Zavvi & Woolies. None of these music retailers are stocking it in my local stores based in Liverpool. Has anybody else experienced the same problem? In the end, I bought the single online at HMV but it was out on 3rd March. Many of the mainstream stores say they only stock top20 singles now but its no6 in the charts.

I think it might have been in my local HMV this week, but I can't remember for definite.

I saw it in HMV Oxford Street but not in Brighton (my local branch)...it seems a lot of singles are only out in their release week now

Nah, can't be. My HMV still has around 100 deadwood copies of Leon Jackson's 'When You Believe' to shift. And they stock Westlife...

 

I've never seen the CD single in any of the stores in Liverpool. I bought it online in the end but I believe this is the way things will eventually go with the CD single.

HMV had Alphabeat in Dundee last week.

They are still stocking the Top 20, but you will struggle to find physical copies of anything below that unless it's among the main new releases.
