The bottom two should obviously have been Rachel and Sam. I can't believe how the panel criticised Ashley for the things those two were guilty of.

And Andrew sent the wrong one home. Niamh is fine, but nothing more. She's not good enough to be Nancy, at least not yet.

I think Ashley should have went, but Keisha would have been my 2nd choice.

Ashley out next week though surely.

Am not sure! There are a couple of "Save Ashley to p*** ALW off" petitions going around!!

I don't agree.

I thought the whole point was to get the best person for the job and so surely by just making ALW pissed off isn't going to see the best person win!

I think Ashley should have been out this week, can't believe Niamh was in the bottom two!!

Jodie or Jessie to win!

Totally the wrong people where in the bottom two yesterday, you could see ALW was proper annoyed :)

Nah I don't agree either - but she's not gonna win so might aswell have some fun at the Lord's expense while there are worse than her in the comp!

I can't believe ALW was so mad. Why does he ask the public for their help on choosing a Nancy, and then kick off when they don't make the 'right choice'? He knows how unpredictable the public are, especially when he talks down to someone and makes them an underdog - there's nothing the British public like more than the underdog, and with what he said to Ashley last week, there was no doubt she'd be out of the bottom 2 this week. He shouldn't be doing the show if he's gonna kick off every time the public make a decision he doesn't like. To be fair though, neither Keisha or Niamh are Nancy, so it didn't really matter who went.

In fairness it's not just the public who think Keisha isn't up to scratch, The other 3 panalists have all said at one point that she isn't Nancy.
They are saving the deadwood for later, for example if Jessie and Ashley was in the bottom 2, who would ALW save, obviously Jessie

Theme: Big Band

Is it me, or not, as I can see Ashley and Niamh in the bottom 2 tomorrow, I guess ALW will save Niamh again, and the real competition starts next week.

Best performance on the night was Jessie.

I still think Rachel and Sam have been consistant throughtout the series, their performances tonight were very good, especially Sam with Sway.

I still think Jodie and Sarah have something missing everytime they perform, I just think Jodie and Sarah could have a bad hair day on the night they could easily cost them a bottom 2 place, which could put a dilemma for ALW for who to choose, I guess it be Jodie, out of the 2.

Overall a good show tonight apart from Ashley murdering the classic Shirley Bassey track Hey Big Spender

We just don't agree do we Martin

I liked Sam tonight, don't get me wrong, but she didn't pull off dancing and singing at the same time like I'd expect a West End performer to. Rachel was, I think, the weakest link tonight - but I thought she was good - I just haven't liked her since Week 1, and I get no warmth from her.

I'll admit it was Sarah's worst performance, but still a damn good one - every note was bang on, which is more than can be said for Rachel (that crack!!) or Niamh (a bum note somewhere I believe). I liked how Ashley put herself into the song a bit, and I enjoyed Jodie's performance, although again I thought it was her least-good!

Jessie stole it for me tonight too - it was mesmerising for me. Jessie, Sarah, Jodie, Ashley, Sam, Niamh, Rachel is my order :)

Sarah has been given the boot, ALW saved Rachel, well that was obvious, I really thought Ashley would be in the bottom 2 after last night.

Naturally I was gutted when I found out the result last night - but I think both girls shone in the sing-off. For the first time since Week 1, I've enjoyed a performance from Rachel, just a shame it was against my Sarah!! Neither should have been in the bottom two (are we gonna have to say that ever week?!)

I can't wait for the Rachel-Sam sing off  What a joy to watch, haha!

Sarah didn't deserve to go, It should have been Ashley or Niamh

Yeah i agree.

I thought that Niamh was good to begin with but her performances are really predictable and she does the same each week!

I'm really liking Sam now though, she's really talented.

Glad Rachel stayed but i didn't want Sarah to go.

Why wasn't Ashley in the bottom two?

I can't wait for her to get booted out!!!

I would put them in this order at the moment -

1.Jessie

2.Jodie

3.Rachel

4.Samantha

5.Niamh

6.Ashley

I would have put Sarah 3rd or 4th though :(

My order at the moment is:

Jodie

Jessie

Ashley

Rachel

Niamh

Samantha

But I'm not overly bothered now that Sarah's gone. It sounds like I'm throwing my toys out of the pram, I know - but she was the only one I really cared about.

Check out her exit interview - she's so cute!! http://www.bbc.co.uk/oliver/news/2008/05/05/54735.shtml

wow, why do you like Ashley so much haha? I don't get her at all. I've only enjoyed one of her performance so far 'Mercy' which I think she did amazingly but every other performance I've thought she has been dire

It's not really a case of liking Ashley, it's a case of disliking the others more. I wasn't crazy about Mercy, but The Winner Takes It All was performed exactly as I think it should have been, and is a deceptively difficult song to sing.

But, Ashley does a good cockney accent (the only ones left in the competition who can are Ashley, Jessie and Rachel's is okay), and actually out of the whole final 12 was most like I physically imagined Nancy to be. She's got Nancy's feistyness, and softness. The only thing really missing from Ashley's performances is warmth. I think the viewers are being manipulated into disliking Ashley a lot - the only votes she is getting are the 'protest votes' against ALW for his bizzare decisions and he and the panel's blatant favouratism to those who are completely unsuitable for the role, e.g. Niamh, or sympathy votes.

I should add that I really like Sam, but not for this. She is amazing in the group numbers (her parts in Pick a Pocket or Two and Who Will Buy were great) but she doesn't cut it yet solo. But she will in a few years.

I do thinkAshley is a really good actress like, but I still don't like her that much, (and its not because of the judges opinions) and I agree Niamh isn't all that great, I hope its Jessie vs Jodie in the final 2.

I really want to go see it at the west end aswel!
