What is your favourite Anastacia ballad/or 'sad song'? and WHY. :o

For me,

 

01 Who's Gonna Stop The Rain?

- I think that when some people listen to this song, they miss the meaning of it completly. It's a song about how people are destroying things, yet they choose to ignore what they've destroyed and brushed it aside, but one day it'll come back to haunt them. It's quite a deep complex meaning, but used in a beautiful song where she isn't warbling her vocals about and actually sings in a nice tone.

 

02 How Come The World Wont Stop?

- Again, another song with a quite obvious but moving message. About how you loose someone, yet the world and everyone around you is still moving and that nothing has changed, and matter-of-factly, you've just got to get on with life. It has an autumn feel to it to (my favourite season) which blends well with once again her calm toned down vocals on the track.

 

03 I Dreamed You

- Bleugh, I usally hate songs like this. F*kking love-sick lyrically written ballads. But by singing in headvoice alongside the piano and a couple of gospel singers, it works and just, clicks.

 

04 Where Do I Belong

- It's pretty obvious what this is about (her illness), but this works SO much better then how 'Heavy On My Heart' does. It's her only real dark song, which reflects on what the song is about. The lyrics are strong, the vocals are dreamy yet aggresive, it's a song fulled of mixed emotions which flare up in her lyrics, voice and instruments used.

 

Meh, I'm not even allowed to voice my own opinions anymore.

THESE ARE NOT IN ORDER - my liking of them changes depending on my mood at the time!

 

1. You'll Never Be Alone - When my old friend died last year this song reminded me that he is still with me and that there is life after death.

 

2. In Your Eyes - I don't know why but somehow I feel attached to this song its sort of happy and sort of sad which links to my life and my hormones going all over the place all the time.

 

3. Heavy On My Heart - I love this song because the lines "every breath I take gives birth to deeper sighs" and "I had my share of pleasure and I've tasted pain" describes my illness and more obvious my entire life.

 

4. Everything Burns - Another dark song the vocals are beautiful in this and its such a lovely song.

 

5. Black Roses - Love the guitar solo, the voice and everything else to do with this song.

1. You'll never be alone - loved it from the moment i heard it,Family/friends/passed on relatives and friends no matter what they are always there to look after you

 

2. Haw come the world wont stop - The song says it all,It is sad but true life moves on,does'nt mean you'll forget that person :cry:

 

3. Saddest part - "i already gave you my heart,but you are empty that is the saddest part"

 

4. Who's gonna stop the rain - I could'nt have said it better josh

 

5. Heavy on my heart - Because ana went through all that and actually was able to go deep down and express what she felt,must have been very emotional for her to actually write it down

Please edit. As a forum mod, you should be giving the right example. It's your opinion that the songs named above are disgracefull ballads, so say it as that. And the language is inapropriate.

Heavy on My Heart, its just pure amazing!

i think mine are in order! so here we go:

 

1:The Saddest Part-i don't know how to describe it... this is the best song i've ever read(generally speaking). the music, the lyrics and more than anything else her voice... "And you know i placed your soul far above me" :cry:

 

2:Heavy On My Heart- just the thought of Ana going through Breast cancer makes it special. and the music and meaning are so amazing..

 

3:You'll Never Be Alone-it's sad but at the same time it's got an optimistic meaning...it makes mefeel that although things aren't always going that well there are always people i can count on :mellow:

 

4:Where Do I belong- again the meaning..it's a powerfl song idon't know..

 

5:Black Roses-beautiful song-i love the guitar and her voice
