Yeah, I think that if you're looking for another 'American Boy' in the album you will be disappointed.

I think the first three singles from the album are the best tracks, so if you weren't keen on them I probably wouldn't suggest it. That said, I love every track on the album, but that's because I'm a little bit obsessed with Estelle.

NATASHA BEDINGFIELD ANGEL

As nice as that is, it's got nothing to do with Estelle.

As for Estelle, it doesn't like her single is going to do anything. It's not appeared on the main iTunes chart and it's out on Monday isn't it? :(

There's a new version of 'Come Over' with Sean Paul that's been posted on Youtube.

It's alright, but I prefer it without him.

Pretty Please is flopping hideously. Will it actually chart at all?

No, I doubt it, although she's signing copies at Zavvi on Oxford St on Friday at 6pm. To be fair, apart from the Mercury's there has been no promotion, it wasn't the right single choice.

However, on the hopeful side, that new Sean Paul remix of Come Over may help if she releases it next here. A radio DJ in the US was sent some new release material and when commenting on the new Beyonce single they also noted they had been sent that remix - hopefully that will be the new single there and will help her secure more than one hot. I'm perfectly happy for the UK to carry on ignoring her AS LONG AS she is making a splash in the US and we still get the material...

Well at least Pretty Please is helping the album

Unfortunately the single is going nowhere is it :( It's out this week and no sign of it anyway

I would say the album climb was probably more related to it being Mercury Prize week and she was nominated for that. It seems like the single is just making no impact. She isn't really promoting it all though and it was only on the C-List of Radio 1, not sure how her radio/TV airplay has been going but I doubt it's anywhere near as much as 'No Substitute Love' got and that was still a big flop.

Not in the airplay top 100, :( been taken off radio 1 as well now.

estelle jumped to a new peak on the billboard hot 100 with "american boy". it went from #53 to #9.

GO ESTELLE!

Great news  just hope that won't be her only ever hit.

That is off course fantastic for American Boy

Unfortunetly i see the next US single flopping just like in the UK though.

I think the American's will 'get' No Substitute Love much more than we did, but I hope they'll be clever and not risk anything by moving onto Come Over with Sean immediately.. as much as I'd like Estelle to establish herself alone, he is a huge star and it's a good mix in my book...

Pretty Please has officially charted between 101-200

Well with it only getting on the C-List on Radio 1, not entering the top 100 airplay, doing no promotion here and...I don't know about video play I'm not surprised it did this badly. Someone posted on Haven that it got to #103. -_-

I dont think it got much TV Airplay either, it's a shame, it is a decent song but it really was a bad choice of single
