AEROSMITH guitarist Joe Perry is recovering in the hospital following successful total knee replacement surgery, an operation he put off for two years so that he could fulfill the band’s live commitments and perform for fans. The surgery was performed last Tuesday morning (March 18) by Dr. Arnie Shiller and Perry spent a few days in ICU where doctors were able to stabilize his pain. Perry has since been moved to a private room where he will spend a few more days before heading home to continue his recovery through the end of the year. Perry would like to thank his fans for their well wishes and support.

March 26, 200817 yr That stinks!! I thought the album was coming out during the summer! Now I'll have to wait ages for a Aerosmith cd! GREAT
March 27, 200817 yr I just thought of something To record the album Joe Perry doesn't need to stand up to play the guitar!!!!!! All he has to is sit there and rocking!!!!!!
March 27, 200817 yr Author hey yeah good thinking :D They can finish off the album, and if he's still recovering when its time for a tour they can buy him a comfy new chair to sit on :cheer:
March 27, 200817 yr Yeah I love my mind! It's usualy just full of air but when comes to music I acually have a brain!!!
March 27, 200817 yr Thats it I have to see Aerosmith live again!! Even if it means going to America or Timbucktu I'm glad I made you laugh Instead of a chair that Joe sits on for that tour How about a remote control wheelchair It would be funny if he went speeding around the stage because the remote control got into the wrong hands HAHA
