Celine Dion Tour Dates Rescheduled

Due to illness Celine will not be able to perform at her Brisbane concert

 

The concert will now be performed on Monday, March 31 at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.

 

Celine is being treated with antibiotics for a minor throat infection and irritated sinuses that she has been suffering from for a number of days since arriving in Australia.

 

Accordingly her doctor has instructed her to rest for an additional 48 hours in order to be fully recovered.

 

"I've been looking forward to doing this show in Brisbane for so long... I'm really sorry to disappoint my fans tonight... I can't wait to see them on the 31st", Celine said earlier today.

 

Sydney and Perth concert dates remain unchanged.

 

However in order to permit the rescheduling of the Brisbane concert the Melbourne performance at Rod Laver Arena will now take place:

As a consequence Celine's Australian tour itinerary becomes:

MELBOURNE, ROD LAVER ARENA WEDNESDAY APRIL 2 (was Tues April 1)

PERTH, MEMBERS EQUITY STADIUM FRIDAY APRIL 4

 

All tickets purchased for the original dates in Brisbane and Melbourne are valid for the same seats on the new performance dates without a need for exchange.

 

TeamCeline members who purchased TeamCeline tickets and wish to obtain a refund will be contacted with details on how to do so shortly. General ticket holders who are unable to attend the rescheduled dates may obtain a refund from the point of purchase, upon presentation of their tickets.

 

NOTE: To secure a refund in Brisbane all requests should be submitted not later than Friday, March 28 and ONLY to:

Celine Dion postpones Sydney shows due to illness

Grammy Award-winning singer Celine Dion has postponed her Sydney concerts tonight and tomorrow night due to an ongoing throat infection.

 

Dion has been suffering from a minor throat infection and irritated sinuses since arriving in Australia several days ago.

 

The singer’s Australian publicists released a statement just after midday today advising Dion was not yet recovered.

 

“Due to ongoing illness, the Sydney Celine Dion performances for this evening and tomorrow evening are postponed,” the statement said.

 

“Further details will be forwarded as soon as the information comes to hand.”

 

The Canadian diva is yet to begin her Australian tour, after postponing her Brisbane and Melbourne shows earlier this week on the advice of her doctors.

 

Dion’s first world tour in 10 years began on February 14 in Johannesburg with a benefit concert for the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund.

yep. the main thing is she will recover completely. we dont want this to happen again.

It's been happening a lot to her lately.

yep but in this case it was caused by coming from the cold in korea and going to the heat in australia.

its very unfortunate and i bet she is gutted.

Yeah, plus this could mess up the whole schedule.

She needs a lot of rest IMO.

in the worst case shows will be cancelled. there's too much at stake. there's no way she can change the entire tour schedule.

Kuala Lumpur has been postponed from the 8th to the 13th of april.
