Posted March 28, 200817 yr This is sort of taken from the thread Nightcrawler made. Are there any songs that you charted that you think should have peaked higher looking back? I'm not counting songs that peaked lower because you just charted your chart or anything. Like my chart started in November so 'Umbrella' only has a peak of #22, that sort of thing wouldn't really count. Here are mine: Amy Winehouse – Tears Dry On Their Own – [9-8-5-7-11-17-22-25-27-29-32-36-39-19-21-27-40-OUT] Quite possibly my favourite song ever, maybe it was down to my chart starting late, but this really should have been #1 for many weeks. Fergie – Clumsy – [36-23-16-21-21-12-17-21-26-29-OUT] Melanie C – This Time – [19-13-20-36-27-30-27-27-32-37-OUT] Celine Dion – Taking Chances – [17-15-16-26-26-24-26-32-37-OUT] The three above songs would probably be in my all time top 100 now, so I think peaks outside the top 10 for them all is ridiculous now. Jennifer Lopez – Do It Well – [12-10-8-11-13-16-25-30-39-31-35-38-40-OUT] Amy MacDonald – This Is The Life – [21-14-11-16-10-15-20-27-36-OUT] Cascada – What Hurts The Most – [23-15-9-13-15-18-11-17-20-23-28-39-38-OUT] These three songs are probably my favourite singles from each ('Mile In These Shoes' by J.Lo = :heart:) so a low top 10 placing for each just doesn't seem right, top 5 should have been minimum for them. The Wombats – Let’s Dance To Joy Division – [40-38R(12)-OUT] Freemasons – Uninvited – [38-29R(5)-21-17-22-27-32-36-OUT] These two took me a long time to grow into, Freemasons returned to peak at #17, but I think it deserved top 10. The Wombats didn't appeal to me at first so they were only in my chart for one week, then when 'Moving To New York' came about it returned with it. It should have been top 15 at least. Booty Luv – Some Kinda Rush – [18-17-14-18-21-28-OUT] Celine Dion – Eyes On Me – [23-19-21-24-33-37-39-OUT] Dannii Minogue vs Jason Nevins – Touch Me Like That – [18-15-16-16-26-32-39-OUT] These songs dropped too fast really. I think all of them should have charted about 3 to 5 places higher and stuck around for a few more weeks. I was going to bring Booty Luv back as a re-entry a few weeks after it fell out, but I didn't get round to it. The Hoosiers – Goodbye Mr. A – [15-25-27-27-32-34-39-39-35-33-38-OUT] Robyn – Handle Me – [39-23-26-25-33-38-OUT] Nicole Scherzinger – Baby Love – [20-22-24-32-36-33-37-38-OUT] These are just songs that weren't as popular with me while they were around, Robyn and Nicole have alright chart runs, but looking back they should have been top 15. The Hoosiers song grew on me when it was on its way out, which is why it stuck at the bottom of the top 40 for so long. :lol: So, do you have any songs that should have peaked higher in your chart?

April 15, 200817 yr Kelly Clarkson - Never Again is one that is obvious to me, it only peaked at #6 in my chart <_<
April 15, 200817 yr Countless, countless songs from the past year :( I can think of loads that should have peaked lower (I had a ridiculous amount of #1s last year - 30! :lol:), but the only major one I can think of atm is Bloc Party - Flux, which peaked at #2 but really deserved #1 in retrospect at some point. I have also been known to make sneaky edits to past charts in order to swap around songs etc. :heehee: Oh yes, and Marija Serifovic - Molitva. Peaked at #5 for me but was my 18th fave song of the year, really deserved top 3.
April 15, 200817 yr I should have had these at number 1 not number 2: The Feeling - Fill My Little World The Feeling - Never Be Lonely Zutons - Valerie Goldfrapp - A&E And these should have been top 10: Lily Allen - LDN Sugababes - Easy Take That - Rule The World There are more, I will think of them later!
April 15, 200817 yr I should have had these at number 1 not number 2: Goldfrapp - A&E I told you! :angry::heehee:
June 29, 200916 yr STILL IN CHART (missed #1): Jonas Brothers - Fly With Me [02-03-02-07-11] Ashley Tisdale - Hot Mess [02-04] Ashley Tisdale - It's Alright, It's OK [03-02-04-07-08-06-08-08-21-25] Cobra Starship - Good Girls Go Bad (Feat. Leighton Meester) [02-02-03-06-09-26-19] NOT IN CHART NOW: Lady GaGa - Starstruck [12-13] (top 5 at least) Jonas Brothers - I'm Gonna Getcha Good [12-14] (top 5 at least)
June 29, 200916 yr I could've sworn I posted in one of these threads before. Well anyway, I usually re-chart something if I suddenly start to like it - examples are countless but recent ones include The Killers with 'Human' which reached a new peak and Girls Aloud with 'The Promise' and 'The Loving Kind' after their tour. This is because I believe my chart is PERSONAL and not CURRENT, and I'm keen for each song's success to reflect how much I like it so will always rechart a song, even though I think it gets messy after a while. That said, there are one or two songs that have gone down in history as flops but I really like them, such as Timbaland's 'Give It To Me' which didn't make Top 20 but in reality should've made Top 10.
June 30, 200916 yr Rihanna Take a Bow only peaked #38 should be top 3 and Hate That I Love You peaked #15, should be top 3 too.
