April 13, 200817 yr I feel very sorry for Arsenal, in 5 days their season is over. They played VERY well today though, but the difference between Man Utd and Arsenal at the moment is Man Utd can change the game with the substitutions they bring on and Arsenal can't. Still they'll definitely be a force to reconded with next season, even moreso than this season...
April 13, 200817 yr As today was the London Marathon then this seems apt, but Arsenal started off the season all gun(ner)s a blazing, but have paid the price for not rotating their squad & via injuries they have fallen apart. In their last 10 games, they've picked up just 8 points from 8 Premiership Games & lost 5-3 on aggregate to Liverpool in the Champions League. That is more than just a blip. However if I was an Arsenal fan I would be a lot more optimistic about next season than Liverpool supporters as at least you have not got arrogant American owners trying their best to destabilise the club.
April 13, 200817 yr Arsenal are a team for the future. Man United are for now. Congrats to Man U, their performance was great.
April 13, 200817 yr Bleh. I've been keeping quiet for ages, but what a massive turn of events since February. I do think the turning point was the Birmingham game, not the Eduardo injury, but the last minute penalty that went to Birmingham, i don't think we've recovered from that in the Premiership. Add the fact that our squad isn't big enough to compete with Chelsea or United. In the summer we need to get rid of 3/4, and bring in 7/8 new players if we want to challenge for the title, else it'll be the same again, and i don't think we'll bring in hardly any tbh. Good luck to both United and Chelsea, it's gonna be a close one ^_^
April 13, 200817 yr They may be a team for the future but I think unless they bring in atleast four already atleast part-proven faces then they'll struggle to do get anywhere near this seasons total. And although others may think otherwise I think they've been fairly lucky with injuries, only Eduardo (who'd only scored 4), Van Persie and Rosicky have been out for any real length of time. Compare than to Man Utd who started the season with six proven defenders (7 if you count O'Shea) and two of them have been injured the whole time... Their main problem is they have no strength in depth, go beyond the starting XI and they don't have much quality at all. (Diaby, Bentdner, Gilberto (past it), Denilson, Senderos and most of all, Eboue, why he plays him I don't know). That's the main difference between Arsenal and the top two, Man Utd and Chelsea can rest half their team and still bring in proven quality, Arsenal can't.

I was bored the other night and i was working out what we need for next season, and i really think we need 8 new players. A new keeper to replace the outgoing Lehmann, 2 new centre backs to back-up injuries to Toure and Gallas (Senderos, Djourou and Song are not up to it), a new left back (Traore is only young, and i think we need an experienced back-up to Clichy or someone who can even challenge Clichy for the place), 2 new wingers (We have Hleb and Rosicky, and both are more effective in a central role, when either are injured we play Eboue or a central midfielder wide), a new central midfielder (we have 5/6 already, but only 2 of them are good enough tbh, and one of them might be leaving in the summer (Flamini)), and a new striker (Van Persie is always going to get niggly injuries, and Bendtner doesn't fill me with any confidence whatsoever). I know we won't get 8 new players, but i think we need to else i can't see us challenging next season.
April 13, 200817 yr Yep, Arsenal need alot of new players. You never know, they might pull of the coup of the century and land Ronaldinho..if he hasn't gone to AC Milan that is. An Arsenal team with Ronaldinho, now that would be perfect football.

I'd be suprised if Arsenal made a move or Ronaldinho, would cost too much wage wise and I don't think he'd fit into the Arsenal team. And besides, he's past it now. There's far betters players that Ronaldinho about now.
April 13, 200817 yr A Ronaldinho move to big club would possibly turn out like Shevchenko i think as he is passed his peak , i'd like to see him at a smaller club like Man City though.
April 13, 200817 yr Man Utd are SCUM!!!!, they do not deserve their sucess at all and Ronaldo is an overrated player. Edited April 13, 200817 yr by Marcus

Do you know who you're dealing with? I have twice the post ratio you have, which tells us two things: 1. My opinion counts more than yours and 2. I am more important than you Okay. Got that. Go figure. Jackass. Edited April 13, 200817 yr by Demo Tape
April 13, 200817 yr Erm the actual Arsenal goal was HANDBALL. There's no doubt about the fact that United should have won today, Arsenal couldn't convert their chances into goals and thus did not deserve the win. If you look at the end of game stats too, you'll find both sides were pretty much matched on attempts, corners, etc. Marcus you're a grown man it's about time you act your age and stop being so heavily biased. You'll enjoy the game a hell of a lot more.
April 13, 200817 yr Another United fan, this world sucks. No, i don't like Man United but i can appreciate that they aren't a load of $h!t and how ever much of an an arrogant prick he can be Ronaldo is probably the worlds best player atm.

I'm a Liverpool supporter, but it would be outrageous if Ronaldo did not win PFA player of the season as he has been quite brilliant and is probably the best player in the world right now. Although Torres has been quite brilliant since Christmas for Liverpool. As for Marcus = stop behaving like an idiot, your entitled to your opinion but try to make your criticism constructive instead of coming across as immature and full of hate towards the Soccer Club United of Manchester as they would be known if they were from Brazil who use Portguese as their language. As for Arsenal, they've played some brilliant football this season, but ultimately they do themselves absolutely no favours by their one eyed attitude towards refereeing decisions. Arsene Wenger is a disgrace for claiming all referees are against him, every time a key decision goes against his team he in the media telling the whole world and its dog how that decision has cost his club, yet he never says a word or pretends that he did not see, when a decision goes his team's way like the handball that meant Arsenal's goal v Manchester United should not have counted today.
