May 25, 200619 yr Author Where did you get this from??? It just came into my head, wouldn't it be great if it happened :)

May 25, 200619 yr Stranger things have happened top me Julie, I have actually had a number of premonitions come true :o It will be interesting to see if that happens this time :) I notice in another Forum that George Michael is with Sony/BMG - do artists on different labels support each other?!! Of course, you never know, D could end up with Sony/BMG!! :D That would be irionic wouldn't it!! Julie
May 26, 200619 yr Paul you are a schweinhund!!! I almost had a pink fit, kittens and a litter of pups at the same time Oh deffo .... but we are stuck already since most of the tickets are gone, even if it came to pass Actually, I think Darius would wipe the floor with George Michael. Better looking, less up his own arse, a better songwriter and just the total biz In fact, if I had a ticket, and Darius was the support, Id probably not stay to watch Yorgis I just realised as I wrote that last sentence. George Michael's real name is only two letters short of being Yogi and I am .... Boo!!! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

May 28, 200619 yr Sorry Boo :( , but it is your fault :D Your nude D pic thread put the idea in my mind  I wondered if you were getting you're own back in the thread shocker-stakes ;) Mind you, we've lived through the Pat thread experience for real - well sort of  and I didn't care for that much :( - but George Michael & Darius on the same bill would be a dream - a double delight for me B)
May 28, 200619 yr I haven't liked much of George's stuff this millennium so if that was what he based his concert on, I would definitely not bother hanging around unless there was to be a jam session or duet with D later on. I'd pop out to the bar for some refreshments until D came back on. I shudder when I think about some of the dire stuff I've had to sit through in the past for one or two songs from Big D. IMHO the billing at the Castles last year was wrong. It was probably Louis W behind that. The headline act should get a better reception - they shouldn't be an anti-climax. Serves them right for trading a longer set against the prestige of going on last and joint headlining with a someone so proficient in stagecraft. They came on and mimed a good part of their 7 songs immediately after Darius and his band had performed 10 songs of mixed genres totally live and with more movement and interaction with the audience than their rather lacklustre dance routines required.
May 28, 200619 yr and who got all the media coverage after that - yup and nothing much about the singing either! what does he have to do!

June 1, 200619 yr Me I'd rather have George Michael opening for Darius but that just might be still a little while away.
June 1, 200619 yr The first time I saw George Michael, I felt the same as I did the first time I saw Darius. I just said that he was really talented, much better than the group and I bet he's be one of our top stars ever. I wonder where Darius would be without all the negative press? I've just been reading the Harry Potter books (I love a good intellectual read) and The Daily Prophet was adding Harry's name to stories in a negative way to convince everyone he was od no value. It really rrang a bell. She's right, mention someone negatively enough in throw away lines and it sticks in people's memory as true. Just edited to add that I never fancied George either. June 1, 200619 yr I'd always agree that George Michael was a talented singer/songwriter who deserved his success but although he was/is very popular and got rave reviews, he never really struck a chord with me at the height of that popularity and despite Darius's championing of him, I have never warmed much to his music.
June 1, 200619 yr Author I think George is a big talent, has a great voice and has acheived immense success, but I can't say I have ever really been a fan of his. If D did open for George, I would watch him, then nip out of the arena and sell my tickets to someone, so they could go in and watch George sing, whilst I waited at the stage door for D's departure :)
