Posted March 31, 200817 yr His Hand On A Solo Carre Again or do yall fearl he might flop and that will be a huuuge embarassment for him and the rest of take that. Because that might show that people "Like take that" and not him solo. Mark flopped with his solos career after take that amazing comeback but it dint get much attention. While Gary oho boy that will be sooo embarassing.
March 31, 200817 yr Definitely not! He can still have his 'solo' career going by writing for other artists if he wants but if he attempted to go solo again as a performer (and he does have the voice to do it) the press would just turn on him again (like they did for no good reason last time.) Thankfully, I think Gary has been asked this and his answer was a definite 'NO'. Besides - the magic of Take That is the exact mix they have now - Gary, Howard, Mark & Jason, nothing less and certainly nothing more!!!! You don't get to realise it until you see the shows and see and hear them talking together. Norma
April 1, 200817 yr I don't think Gary has any interest in reviving a solo career, to be honest. I think, before the reunion, he was quite content with working in the background. And I think he's enjoying the reunion too much to be thinking of going it alone again. As for Mark's solo career flopping after the reunion.... Mark kept a solo career going throughout what I fondly call the Wilderness Years. He was actually in the middle of a tour when the reunion came about. He finished that tour at Christmas 2005, and that's when the Take That juggernaut started again. So far, he hasn't tried to juggle both, but here's hoping. I, for one, love Mark's solos stuff!!
April 1, 200817 yr personnally id love him to as i love dhis solo albums especially 12 months 11 days but for himself im not sure as the press would prob try and destroy him again and his record company and robbie;s would pit them against each other again, i doubt gary will go down that road again after what happened and i think take that is the only way gary will publicly do music after that it will be write songs for others

If any of them hankers after a solo career - it may possibly be Mark. Norma
April 1, 200817 yr i voted no but forgotto vot ethe no earlier good to see another fellow irish person here jod a huge huge welcom eto you
April 2, 200817 yr I think Gary should try a solo career again, if he wants to.... The success of the past years has open doors to all the lads and I think that the solo work that was pushed aside by some will be looked at differently now. Gary is an amazing singer and songwriter and during the down years he produced for other artists so while TT is on vacation, why not. I have Open Road downloaded to my work computer and the folks around me tell me that they love listening to it...and Gary's other cd's I have heard and I love them. I didn't think that Mark's solo career failed, I think that Mark chose an sound for his solo work ( an indie sound )that TT fans were surprised at. Mark's sole Cd's are awesome and well worth buying...... :) Lisa Edited April 2, 200817 yr by claws

April 2, 200817 yr i agree i enjoy mark and gary;ls solo work and both a goo din different ways but i prefer garys solo work although i adore child by mark Well I don't think Gary should attempt to go solo ... even though he has a fantastic voice and writes good music - and despite what he says about his own keyboard skills ... he's bloody good. He'd hate it (he said so much himself). I loved what he said about the song-writing these days being shared out too 'if the songs are c**p ... at least I don't get all the blame' (or something like that). How's the biscuit campaign going on. And Shameless ... you never did tell me what your favourite soup is! Norma
April 2, 200817 yr well again i dont think gary will ever go for a solo career again why would be put himself through that again after how the press treated him bicuit campaign is holding up but cud be doing better :o and as for soup for me the best soup is chicken and sweetcorn although i love a nice homemade veg soup and although usually not very popular i loce cauliflour and brocelli soup

I think the sheer depth of choice is putting potential voters off! Do you mind if I take some out? As for the soup - we had my home-made mushroom soup with croutons and crusty bread for tea tonight and it was bloody marvellous! I don't think I'm ever going to buy soup again! I must seek out some chicken and sweetcorn soup recipes ... my sister and I are on a bit of a 'soup revival' at the moment! Our blenders have never seen so much action!!!!! Norma
