Of course I have sympathy for the actress who was injured but my feeling on hearing it was an actress was primarily relief, on that basis.

Darius is a tough guy. He said himself he has a very high pain threshhold. Maybe the show would still be on, if it had happened to him.

That would certainly explain the loss of 3 days' rehearsal.

It isn't unusual for preview dates to be cancelled - it's a risk you take with them. We usually wouldn't have heard that the 3rd and 4th were there, it's a risk that's worthit if it gets you to see the first show. Sometimes it backfires and, even when you realise it can, it does put a real dampner on things. I'm really hoping the 5th isn't cancelled as well. I'm expecting it not to be as it was the date given on all early promo.

According to the Daily Mail, it was NaTasha who was injured. I hope she's OK now. She'll need to be on the stage a lot.

I bet they haven't got an understudy yet

Surely they would have got covers for all the main candidates?

 

Maybe they have a deal with another performer,like Joseph used to have with Lewis who was on a retainer to be available until about an hour before any show to cover Joseph for Lee Mead for "emergencies"

I've no idea. There just doesn't seem to be anyone in the cast who could. I'll look hard ..... tomorrow.

They're trying to get it down to just 3 1/2 hours- you'll have plenty of time to look

That is too long really. 2:30 - 3:00 is enough.

It doesn't sound as if they're aiming to prune it back by that much, megham.

 

Are any other current shows as long as that?

 

 

 

Lord of the Rings is 3hrs - and most feel that is just too long.
