As previously reported, Mariah will be dropping by TRL in Times Square on Monday, April 21st.

 

We can now reveal that she is scheduled to premiere the music video to her brand new single "Bye Bye" on the show!

 

Tune in to MTV on Monday, April 21, at 3:30pm ET/PT, and if you're in the New York area, be sure to join the many Mariah fans who will be there to support her!

Because let's face it Mariah has been EVERYWHERE lately, so i'm unsure as to when she would have had time to shoot a half decent video? I do hope it's not some really lame arsed video (love the song, but see Britney's new video). It was alright with Mimi because she shot the videos for It's Like That and We Belong Together back to back at the same time. So i'm a tad worried and will continue to be until I see it... although Touch My Body had an amazing video so I hope they will follow suit with the video for Bye Bye.

It seems like 'Bye Bye' has been planned for a while now, so maybe it was shot before the promotion. Btw, I'm still not into the song myself personally. :/ Migrate however. :wub:

So when is she releasing 'Bye Bye' over here? This feels so hurried, 'Touch My Body' is still doing alright in the US and she has her second single on the way already.

Bye Bye is at 8.5m impressions in the US so far. Not great, but TMB is still very much in the limelight.

 

No word on the release date for Bye Bye here - not until at least June though. :P

To keep the album selling high when in a few weeks it might start to drop otherwise?

Well it hasn't been that high all week...hmm...if it averaged #15 on iTunes for the week, then probably Top 50 on the Hot 100.

New TRL Date: Mariah To Premiere "Bye Bye" on April 28

Mariah's previously cancelled TRL appearance has been rescheduled to Monday, April 28th! Mariah will be stopping by the MTV Studios in Times Square to promote her album and premiere the music video to "Bye Bye". We want her biggest fans supporting her and you may even get the opportunity to meet her!

 

To request tickets to the show, please email trlcasting@mtvstaff.com with "Mariah Fan" in the subject. Please include your name, age, phone, and the number of tickets you would like. You must be 16-24 years old to be considered.

 

If you do not fit the age requirement, we still encourage fans of all ages to come to Times Square on Monday afternoon to support Mariah! Feel free to wear MC t-shirts, bring signs and anything else to show your love!
