June 29, 200817 yr Not great deserved slightly better but it will teach her not to release Migrate lol...which she still is'nt releasing but still.
July 1, 200817 yr at least It got Top 30, and I'm glad it's just about hanging in the Top 40 this week haha
July 3, 200817 yr This Is My Opinion: Bye Bye Is Not A Strong Single Choice. However, Planned Properly, I Could Still Have Been A Success. For Instance, They Released Bye Bye Whilst Touch My Body Was Still In The Top Ten Of The Billboard Hot 100. Also They Released Bye Bye to US Radio And Digital Retailers At The Same Time, Which is unusual, as most singles in the US receive at least a months worth of airplay befor being released as downloads, in order to help chart positions. To sum up, although Bye Bye was not an out-of-this-world success, and although it was not a brilliant single choice it could have achieved at least Top 10 status if the release was handled more carefully. In my opinion, if they wanted to score Mariah's 19th US number-one single, Migrate should have been released. It has that Hip-Hop vibe that the US is feeling at the moment, plus T-Pain makes an appearance on the song, and he is extremely popular in the US. Also it is no surprise that Bye Bye did not achieve great success in the UK. Although I wished it had charted highly, the truth is the UK does not warm to ballads unless they are exceptional. To sum up, Migrate is the single that should have released if they wanted Mariah to achieve incredible chart success in the UK and US.

I think the only reason it flopped was because it was released around Summer, the time when ballads should never be released! If 'Bye Bye' was released at Christmas, I think it could've got Top 10...
