Céline Dion, who won the Eurovision Song contest back in 1988, will celebrate her 40th birthday tomorrow, Sunday, March 30. Meanwhile, a 90 minute TV movie is presently being prepared for CBC TV on Céline's life, produced by Laszlo Barna, based on the adaptation of Jenna Glatzer's book Céline Dion: for keeps (Céline Dion : pour toujours).

"I wonder why nobody has already told the fantastic story of Céline Dion and René Angélil", the Hungarian-born producer asks himself. Although the movie is not an authorised biography Barna states that: "We will be very respectful of their lives. Viewers will be able to follow Céline's incredible career, from Eurovision to Las Vegas" Barna states. The movie will include quite a few details unknown to the great public.

Celine is directed by Jeff Woolnough (CSI, Battlestar Galactica) and it features Christine Ghawi as the adult Celine, Jodelle Fernland as the singer in her childhood and Enrico Colantoni, who played Elliot DiMauro on the popular TV series Just shoot me, in the role of Celine’s husband and producer Rene Angelil. As for the songs, ten hits will be performed by Trish O'Brien.

I've read about this a while ago but I dont think we had a topic on it so here you go. :w00t:
