It's a NEW #1! After 6 weeks at the top, Cassius finally slides down (all the way to #4) and so let's in The Long Blondes, who score their first Grebochart #1 with the mesmeric Century.

This week's highest climber is at #2 as The Manics version of Umbrella, a give away with the NME a few weeks ago storms up the chart. Duffy continues to rise as do British Sea Power and The B-52s. The Kills gain their second top ten hit of the year at #8 while The Wombats secure their 3rd Top 10 hit following Let's Dance to Joy Division and Moving to New York (#1 and #2 respectively). The Cribs reverse their fortunes by rising back up the charts after a speedy descent thanks to hearing it three times in half an hour in a jeans store! Duffy's Rockferry follows Mercy into the chart at #13, Amy Winehouse finally gains from a renewed interest in her album by getting her chart debut and the stunning new single from Portishead arrives at #14.
