March 31, 200817 yr :D I warn you David, if there is ONE Eurovision compilation in there... :manson: I agree with the sentiments of the quoted poster.
April 1, 200817 yr Author So without further ado... 50 http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/f/f5/Sclub7-7(original).jpg/200px-Sclub7-7(original).jpg S Club 7 - '7' So kicking off the 50 is the second album from good old S Club 7. Their debut album actually just missed out on a place in this chart, so this is all you will see of them. :w00t: I used to be such a fan of these people, and some of the songs on this album I still find amazing. :( Stand-out tracks *Natural *The Colour of Blue
April 1, 200817 yr Author 49 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/0519442.JPG Steps - 'Steptacular' I was quite the fan of Steps too back in the day. :( I am glad they ended up quite low on this list though! There is still two more Steps albums to come though argh. I actually remember getting this for Christmas 1999 or something and going and finding it at like 4.00am and then listening to it in bed with a massive pair of headphones on. :( Oh dear... Stand-out tracks *Tragedy *Love's Got a Hold on My Heart *Deeper Shade of Blue
April 1, 200817 yr Author 48 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/88697154452.JPG Steps - 'Step One' And here they are again! What a cheesy back end of my chart haha - it'll get better, honest. :kink: I always was, and still am, completely confused at why they felt the need to put that ghastly 'Steptro' thing on as track #1, with a load of weird noises and then a line from 'Last Thing on My Mind'. The minds of Steps we will never understand! Stand-out tracks *5,6,7,8 *Heartbeat *Better Best Forgotten
April 1, 200817 yr Ha, cheesy. I have to admit that I have those Steps albums and still like Steps and S Club 7 on occasion.
April 1, 200817 yr Author 47 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/3439601.JPG Kate Bush - 'Aerial' Something a little less cheesy now with the excellent 'Aerial' from Kate Bush. :D It is rather low though on my chart... and that's simply because many of the songs are just "ok" with me. Some excellent stuff on here, but I don't feel the rest lives up to the high expectations we had when Kate bounced back in 2005. Stand-out tracks *King of the Mountain *Joanni *Nocturn *Aerial
April 1, 200817 yr Author 46 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/lodvd482.JPG Holly Valance - 'State of Mind' I was ever so obsessed with this when it came out. And tbh, there are several songs on here I still love! It never lived up to the success of its predecessor though, and only charted in the #50s I believe, which was a shame as this was the last we heard from Miss Valance. :( I'd still like her to make a comeback one day, but I think it highly unlikely. Stand-out tracks *Hypnotic *State of Mind *Desire *Tongue-Tied
April 1, 200817 yr So without further ado... 50 http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/f/f5/Sclub7-7(original).jpg/200px-Sclub7-7(original).jpg S Club 7 - '7' So kicking off the 50 is the second album from good old S Club 7. April 1, 200817 yr 47 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/3439601.JPG Kate Bush - 'Aerial' Something a little less cheesy now with the excellent 'Aerial' from Kate Bush. :D It is rather low though on my chart... and that's simply because many of the songs are just "ok" with me. Some excellent stuff on here, but I don't feel the rest lives up to the high expectations we had when Kate bounced back in 2005. Nah, I think in hindsight, your assessment is pretty accurate.. It's a good album to be sure, but it aint no "Hounds of Love" (which I presume will be featuring a bit higher up ;) ).
April 1, 200817 yr Author Ha, cheesy. I have to admit that I have those Steps albums and still like Steps and S Club 7 on occasion. Haha yeah me too! So bad but so good. :( I hate The Colour Of Blue...Tina's rap song was quite good though...I'll Be There I think its called! Oh yes I remember that. Well... I sort of remember the chorus haha. :heehee: I certainly don't remember Tina doing any rapping! :o Nah, I think in hindsight, your assessment is pretty accurate.. It's a good album to be sure, but it aint no "Hounds of Love" (which I presume will be featuring a bit higher up ;) ). It certainly will do. :w00t: Just how high though I shall not reveal.
April 1, 200817 yr I certainly don't remember Tina doing any rapping! :o Listen again...perhaps its her feeble attempt at singing but it sounds more like she's speaking over the track in the verses
April 1, 200817 yr Author 45 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/GWENPRECD.JPG Gwen Stefani - 'The Sweet Escape' A very "hit and miss" album here from the lovely Gwen. It's the first of three appearances in the top 50 by her, and this is a decent enough album. There are a couple of tracks I absolutely LOVE, and 'Early Winter' is probably one of my favourite songs of all time or something. It'll be nice to see her back with No Doubt for a bit though, very eager to hear what they come up with next. Stand-out tracks *The Sweet Escape *Early Winter *4 in the Morning
April 1, 200817 yr Author 44 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/PRERELCDCAGUIL.JPG Christina Aguilera - 'Back to Basics' The much anticipated return of Ms. Aguilera was met with a certain degree of "mehness" by myself, if I'm honest. Some standout tracks on this, but all in all it is quite an ordinary album. The second disc was far superior to the first, but it's a decent enough album. ^_^ Stand-out tracks *Oh Mother *Candyman *Hurt *The Right Man
April 1, 200817 yr Author 43 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/82876870682.JPG Justin Timberlake - 'FutureSex/LoveSounds' I haven't actually listened to this album an awful lot, and like the last couple of albums, I find this quite "hit and miss" too. Some excellent standout tracks on here, but there are a few I just haven't connected with. But when it hits, it REALLY hits. Miles better than his first album too. Stand-out tracks *FutureSex/LoveSound *SexyBack *LoveStoned/I Think She Knows Interlude *What Goes Around.../...Comes Around *Until the End of Time
April 1, 200817 yr Author 42 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/4505089.JPG Nelly Furtado - 'Folklore' The second album from Nelly Furtado certainly has some class tracks in my opinion, but once again, I find many rather forgettable. I'm not too surprised this album saw the least successful period in her career so far, and its successor is still to chart. :D Stand-out tracks *Powerless *Try *Childhood Dreams
April 1, 200817 yr Author 41 http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/5093952.JPG Beyoncé - 'Dangerously in Love' The debut solo album from Beyoncé charts in at #41. A good album, with some excellent tracks on it and fully deserving of its place up here. This is clearly the area of "hit and misses" in my chart though, as I once again find a few songs on here rather bland... Stand-out tracks *Crazy in Love *Naughty Girl *Baby Boy *Work It Out *03 Bonnie and Clyde
