The one thing about parodying Alanis, is that she has done funnier parodies herself, as she was a former child star/comedian and has a very dry (for most Americans) sense of humour. Also remember she has played God in a top movie!

Delicious Morissette on MAD TV (parodying the likes of Jessica & Ashlee Simpson/Lindsay Lohan/Britney Spears...)

Alanis Morissette - My Humps (a superb lyrical deconstruction of the Black Eyed Peas "classic")

So I guess you didnt see Graham Norton then with Dame Edna and Alanis on Thursday night then...'she' also made the mistake of saying she was American as well and was quickly corrected by 'Avril' sorry I mean Alanis (well I suppose she's looking good these days  ) over this faux pas.

however even tho the song was not much (I'll stick with Fat Lip, Drinking in L.A and One Week) have to say that Alanis was actually good value for money - and quite a good guest to have on the show...

(please note this is not one of the gorgeous new pictures)

and talking of Canuck humour - there's supposed to be another great bit of comedy stand-up that was probably performed at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal (but in English) and was from a Canadian comedian talking about Canadian-American cultural differences and the punch-line is something like 'so you think you hate Americans, we [Canadians] have to live next door to them' - though I don't know who this is and neither does the person who told me about it...?!?!?! tho it was a guess at someone quite hairy...a big hairy Canadian comedian man....
