Posted April 3, 200817 yr Going back to the 60s to cater for the older generation, so the topic is diverse, not just for the 90s... anyhow I just have to pick the 80s, as I grew up listening to New Romantics era, artists like Police, Kim Wilde  Blondie (Debbie Harry  well fit), Ultravox, Duran Duran etc.... The chart was slow moving than 5-8 new entries would be around the norm for the 80s. Picking up in the late 80s. I also like the 60s music as my parents had a huge record collection from that era, and I use to play them when I was young.
April 3, 200817 yr i don't have a favourite year of music there is good music in each decade :) Edited April 3, 200817 yr by HeartBreakKid08!
April 3, 200817 yr I said 00s because that's the decade I've heard most music from. There's a load of artists I've liked from this decade: Amy Winehouse, Leona, Beyonce, Sugababes, Rihanna and the stuff Beverley Knight has released this decade to mention a few. I liked the 90s too. The Spice Girls were only around for two of those years, but they just remind me of being young and having a huge obsession over them. I also liked the early stuff from Britney and Christina that decade. I also liked Whitney in the 90s. I don't know much about the 70s and 80s music, I think Whitney was good. I also like "Total Eclipse Of The Heart" and "Heaven Is A Place On Earth" from the 80s. I like some 60s stuff. I like Nina Simone and Dusty Springfield. I don't know if she was 60s, but I also like Dinah Washington and I haven't heard much of them at all, but I like the sound of Sarah Vaughan and Ella Fitzgerald. Some of those might be from before the 60s though. I would say I like more music from the 90s and 00s though.
April 3, 200817 yr zomg i like the noughties because of innovative and creative artists like leona lewis and jojo  *Ahem* I found it hard to choose between the 80's and the 90's but in the end I went with the 90's as I loved everything from that decade from Madchester at the start (Stone Roses, Happy Mondays) Brit-Pop (Blur, Suede, Pulp, The Verve Cast, first two Oasis albums) and when manufactured pop actually churned out something good (Spice Girls, S Club 7, 5ive   ) other bands like Manic Street Preachers and all the bands I like but everyone has forgotten about like Kenickie, Bis and My Vitrol

Same here, the 80s and 90s were the best as i grew up listening to the charts in those decades. 80s first, and the 90s a close run second. There was good music in all decades but that is just my personal preference.
April 3, 200817 yr I like alot of music from all decades but i have to go with the 80's for artists like Kylie Bon Jovi S eXpress bananarama extreme soul asylum alice cooper black box kim wilde pet shop boys new order the bangles
April 4, 200817 yr The 00's are by far one of the worst decades of music, but growing up through it I'm "attached" to it. Plus, aside all of the Reality Winners (some of whom have been excellent, = Will Young, Kelly Clarkson) and also tribute acts (Who are not bad also = Justin Timberlake etc.) then it really hasn't been that bad.
April 4, 200817 yr ^^ totally, i think you have to have lived through the 60's and 70's to really get them aswell.
April 4, 200817 yr 90s by a million miles. Then probably the 80s, then the 00s (which is only good during the earlier years imo)
