Sony BMG is gearing up to release the official music from the opening ceremony at the Commonwealth Games both on CD & DVD. Sony BMG will also release the official closing ceremony CD and official Commonwealth Games highlights on DVD, all available from March & April 2006.

 

The Commonwealth Games will be held in Melbourne from Wednesday 15th March 2006 – Sunday 26th March 2006. The opening ceremony will kick off on Wednesday 15th March at 8:00pm EST. The album will be on sale the day after the opening ceremony, Thursday 16th March and the DVD will be on sale Wednesday 22nd March.

This CD & DVD is a great collectors piece that showcases the entertainment of the opening ceremony. The track listing for this album is extremely confidential and a list will be issued once the ceremony has begun on Wednesday 15th March.

 

Sony BMG will also release the closing ceremony album & the Commonwealth Games highlights DVD.

 

The closing ceremony will be held on Sunday 26th March 2006 and the album will go on sale from Sunday 26th March. The highlight DVD will showcase some of the games finest and most memorable moments, including footage from the opening ceremony, actual games highlights consisting of 75 minutes of all the key sporting events and a package form the closing ceremony, the DVD will go on sale from Sunday 23rd April.
