A webchat? I didn't see that coming. Brilliant.

I posted a reply and it's gone AWOL. It was in the gmtv letter I posted. The last web chat was 2005.

Long time, but he has answered our questions in between. I loved the marathon session behind the scenes at Chicago. Some of it is very funny.

My main question is obviuously - when's the new album out.

I think once he announced his finishing date in GWTW, we'd have to put the pressure on and try to keep him here preparing for its release.

 

I'm dreading Darius's return to LA. I think someone may make him yet another offer he can't refuse which would take him away from his recording studio.

The album will come. He has put so much into it.

I think Chrsitmas will come before it, unless the record company start putting the pressure on Darius to hand it over to them soon.

They wont. I'm really looking forward to it but, I feel that this musical has been made for him. I hope he gets his wish and it's out this year. I'll just have to wait (with great patience - you all know me) if he doesn't.

Do you think he would tell us any of the titles of the songs he's considering for it during the webchat, even if he hasn't finalised the tracklisting?

Yes. There will probably be a link from the GMTV site to the webchat. Darius will be there to answer the questions as they come in although someone else may type them for speed.

 

There's no good using speech recognition software with a West Of Scotland accent as I found out to my cost after I'd splashed out on Via Voice thinking it would cut my workload.

 

I've also known webchats where Darius was sitting in front of a web camera and just spoke his answers. I half remember therealso being a transcript in the latter case.
