i have never liked them -_-

but i soldier on regardless

We had a truly awful Sunday dinner today - we tried out a pub in Liverpool that I've been curious about for ages - a brilliant building - from the outside it looks a bit like a boat - but its fairly old, and it has an interesting history (I'm not giving the name away in case I get sued for libel.) They had a fabulous selection of real and guest ales and the staff were so friendly ... sadly - our Sunday roast was just awful. Is it only me that doesn't like to eat really hard vegetables with a roast? Don't get me wrong - I like raw carrots, cauli, peas, etc in salads ... but when I have a hot meal - I like my veggies fairly soft - while retaining all their flavour (steaming usually does the trick). It wasn't a carvery either so the turkey must have been that processed stuff and I think the gravy was 'one flavour does all' Bisto. When I make gravy - I make a different one (from scratch) for each individual meat.
