I actually did a variation on a Bakewell Tart - using thinly sliced bananas instead of Jam on the base ... it was frigging marvelous!

i adore my food but im not into pastry kinda stuff im more loaf of white bread with bacon and eggs type person or a tayto type person,on saying that i havnt eaten any rubbish in the last 3 weeks and i have started doing alot of walking and i have lost 1 stone my aim is to lose another stone

I only meant - I know all about cold hands due to my age! :lol: I wasn't having a go at you. And your mum's tip about cold hands is actually the key to good pastry (that and half an egg-yolk).
