Julia or someone please what can we do THAT photo has been posted on a theatre site. someone is trying to sabotage him.
have to forget it, I saw THAT photo posted on a site, where whey were discussing GWTW - have to say it had some favourable remarks posted after it - that was some time back when it was first announced - most know what a man looks like, its not as if Robbie hasnt got a photo floating around, or Ewan to to think of it. and John Barrowman well who needs photos

Just been over there and seen that Preston - they are just obviously a lot of silly kids!!! I don't know if anyone is registered over there or it's just best to ignore it. I feel so upset for Darius that this sort of thing just keeps coming back to haunt him yet someone as obnoxious as Robbie Williams can get away with it!! (and he does it on purpose!!) Anything seems 'to go' these days - it will probably draw a lot more interest to the thread and maybe inadvertently to Darius and GWTW!!

I'm sorry if I sound 'blase' but I don't think we can do anything!!! :( Meg?? BT??

Of course, the moderators on the site may see fit to delete the offending picture - we can but hope!!

You paid good money to watch, megham. I'm very grateful you've remembered so much.

I think I'd like to see Darius singing to a woolly bonnet and playing with an invisible child but they'll probably have organised their child actors by then,

Are there curfew times for certain ages working in the West End or is it just by hours the calculation is made?

It's just so many hours a young performer can perform, I'd thought.

By taking notice of things, it only sends them underground and keeps interest up. It's one of the things I dislike 'Heat' for.

It should be deleted but, it probably wont be.

....Well there's not too much I can add to Meg's report.

But...

The theatre is even better than the photo shows.

The walkways are very close to the seats and the actors also walked infront of row I.

There are several times when they are on the 2 side walkways in the circle.

The orchestra is in a raised area to the right as you look at the stage.

Everyone starts the show....yes, Darius included....if I remember correctly he is the first person to speak.

They are setting the scene...time, place....but of course things may be altered.

The first half moved very quickly through the book.....there was the reel, just a small bit but no waltz as such....I thought Darius was going to sing when Scarlett asked about the song, but he didn't.

The songs he sang in the first half were finished as soon as he started....except one at the charity bazzar....and this wasn't fantastic...not Darius' fault just not a good song.

At the interval my reaction was....it's OK, shame about the songs.....

I wasn't bowled over by the men's war song and flag waving as Meg was.

I can't remember now when the ladies sang about the lost sons and husbands...that was moving.

Nor can I remember when Scarlett sang...'Gone with the Wind'.....which is sung again by everyone at the end........excellent song.

The second half was so different....full of emotion and good/great songs.

Darius showed his acting abilities....he was excellent.

His songs this time were longer and very good.

During his sad scenes I had to stop looking at him or I would have cried.....

I nearly ended up with a dead Yankee on my lap!....he slid across the stage and I thought he wasn't going to stop!

I was sat next to 2 Canadian ladies who had seen the film and read the book......they loved it....felt Darius was a good as Clark Gable.

If they manage to change the first half and make it as good as the second this will be fantastic.

Not sure what they can do.....but they need to do something.

Can't wait to go again.

Great stuff ladies, I am looking forward to tomorrow night :) Do I need to make notes  :D
I will certainly try, but as you realise I am only a man, so don't expect too much :D
Can we count on you, B.P. to keep that stiff upper lip and keep your eyes on Darius during the sad scenes.?

here is another nice comment from someone at the first preview from another GWTW dedicated site, think its a GWTW fan not a darius fan so all the better

-Went to see the first preview last night. Absolutely amazing stuff guys! Darius surprised me the most, he was incredible! Scarlett was also brilliant and the best song by far was 'She's no Lady'.

A hearty thumbs up from me

Ehhhm!!! I will try BT, but if D is as convincing as he was doing Guys And Dolls, I might have a problem

The saddest scene is made less sad by attention being taken away to the other cast members - which was a shame as it'd have been excellant. It was a good scene anyway.

The slow motion bit before it was just so incredibly well done.

On the way home, we'd got as far as Wimbledon and then got stuck. We were taking to someone clutching a Gone With The Wind carrier bag. She was from the Scarlett group and wasn't totally impressed, well, Jill isn't Vivienne so that was unavoidable. She said that the bit that surprised her was Darius Danesh. She'd never seen him in anything, TV or show, and thought he was really, really good. Her opinion was, the way they could improve it most was to have him on stage more. He was so good he just owned the stage. A bit of when he left, the light went out.

The rest of the cast were excellant as well, though. I have this overwhelming need to go see it again -maybe I'll try a matinee when I may stand a chance of getting home.

that is brilliant to hear, I love seeing or hearing how other (outside the bubble) people react to seeing Darius.

My husband said the same about Chicago, that Darius seemed to own the stage when he was on it.

I really hope that makes trevor cut down on everything but Darius bits! I can't imagine he would cut out darius though, only the distractions fomr the main plot hopefully.

I have always seen Darius as a lead, or the main man. He is in no way someone who can fade into the background.

He doles at times. He seems to sneak on and you're suddenly aware that he's standing leaning somewhere in the shadow. Then you have to turn away and concentrate on the action so you don't miss anything. Gone With The Wind certainly has a lot to watch in it.
