There is an interesting last post on WOS. regarding the brochure etc etc. hope it shuts a few people up.
Rachel had posted last week that they were nearly ready. Just off to have a look at WOS. I don't bother about most of the forums as they seem keener on themselves than the shows.

I know you dont bother much about forums meg but I do find them informative sometimes. However out of interest on WOS I looked up the thread on a NEW musical marguerite - the thread is good luck margueirte and low and behold it was like reading GWTW thread on criticism and several of the fans of that new show happen to be critics of gwtw but am so pleased to see that even their leading ladys' voice is coming in for criticism and the moving equipment but of course in their case thats what previews are for to get it right.!!! Amazing how things differ when it suits them.
I have done the same, Preston - I always find its very interesting to see what forums posters are posting in general, usually sheds some light on the GWTW comments LOL

Probably - 'I'm late again'

It's a great photo. I really, really like that one.

Jill is so right about Darius. He does come alive on stage and there is always something going on behind his eyes. I was so close the other night I could almost see his brain working.

I didn't see any fear but I'm sure Darius recognised me although I was trying not to be noticed in such an intimate atmosphere.

It made it all the more interesting knowing we had someone trying to hide just behind us. If you are a bit further over at anytime, watch Darius' face when he pciks Bonnie up after her fall and Scarlett screams at him that he'd killed her. Nearly made me cry. Stupid woman, if she hadn't called out neither the pony or the child would have been distracted.

Hope you had a good holiday and the wedding went well, BT.

I may be biased but I think that stage is a bit brighter when Darius is on it.

I can't remember Prissy's song at all and I can see Mammy singing the one about the child but can't hear any of it in my mind at all, although I remember being impressed by them at the time.

I dont recall the songs as such, just an essence of them, bits melodies and some lines here and there..but then I dont expect to remember them, at the time they were great and fitted well, I think I will remember them as soon as I hear them again - and after heairng them again I will recall them more.

I can't really recall many of the G &D songs which Darius didn't sing, other than some snatches although I've watched the film quite a few times.

Thanks for moving that review I posted earlier. I should've put it here. Sorry. my head is all over the place just now.

I think the critics are getting mixed up between songs heard before and totally new ones - that fit the play rather than a play fitting them. I'd go for just the lullaby and 'Alone' - and 'Just two' come to that. I l;ike all the asemble numbers and the song i liked least (except for the beautifully sung but unneccesary Prissy song) has been chopped. Spam couldn't even remember Ashley singing it and she's seen it a few times now.

Was the Ashley one cut before I saw GWTW.

I did catch something of D's expression when Scarlett acused him of killing Bonnie and it won't cause me any trouble to take a better look next time.
