Have a great time, Preston. Butlins is still a great place with young children. There is nothing so thrilling than the excitement and happiness on their faces nearly all day long and it doesn't cost an extra arm and leg like it does in so many other places.

Enjoy yourself, Preston. Half term week, I've Lord of the Rings and (surprise, surprise) Gone With The Wind.

I couldn't see it in the review thread....just added it....thanks BT

I get confused reading them as several are similar

Yes, they are, that's why I held back on that second "mellifluous" one.

I loved the show. It was still a shock for me to be that close to the action, despite all the descriptions on here and other sites.

I'm glad Darius was part of the narration at the beginning. It meant I could see him without waiting the usual fifteen minutes for him to make his entrance.

I was suitably gobsmacked by the amazing set which surrounds the stage but not so impressed with the representation of Tara and twelve Oaks in their prime. I could see why critics comparing it to the film were disappointed by that aspect.

I got confused which was which - it was a good job one had a fallen piller or else I'd have been stuck. except they did always tell us which one it was.

I know where I would rather be - at GWTW but its the childrens last chance to take a holiday out of school holidays as the eldest who will be five in september starts school then and they will then be tied to school; holidays. The other child is two so he is going to need some watching. Bank holiday is the week after we return but it will bring back memories of seeing Darius there. I think my grand-daughter is hoping to see Angelina ballerina so hope she wont be disappointed. I am wondering how my son and his wife will react to butlins to be quite honest, it is not their scene at all but they say they are doing it for the children!!! The day after I come back I go to see West side story but then I shall be thinking about GWTW again.

This is where I confess that I've never seen West Side Story. I started watching the film once and gave up.

I think I just don't like Romeo and Juliet in any format. I've given up on so many versions of it. It's one Shakespeare play I couldn't even read my way through. Thank goodness we were never asked to study it at school.

If George Chakhiris couldn't make me watch it as a teenager, only Darius could tempt me to sit through it even once.
I disliked WSS due to that bloke in the lead part so as soon as I saw him dancing in a trailer - that was enough - urgghh, i stuck at reading it at A level that was enough, then I could imagine a better looking romeo..I havenever felt a need to see it performed - especially these uptodate versions

From last night.

Thanks, megham. I've always liked Darius in brown.

He seems to have brought a larger wardrobe this time.

I like him in brown. Suits his eyes. He's in London, not travelling away from home. It makes it easier for him as his clothes are there. He did look very well the last couple of days - even b etter today (and in something different) Shame I couldn't get a pic.
