Not as much as he has the grey in it then. It's 'young' Rhett who has it slicked.

There's a change from crinolines to the bustle between part 1 and 2 because the story spans more than a decade. I wonder if the men's hairstyle changed over that time too.

Rhett'[s certainly did. Most of the other male characters had died in the war. I think that Ashley's was basically the same as well.

Ashley's character was supposed to be unable to deal with the changes and be wedded to the old South so perhaps it's right that he wouldn't change no matter what the fashion was, whereas Rhett has travelled a lot, been influenced by all cultures and is an "insufferable peacock", so he'd probably still have a bit of that in him although he's changed to a family man.

The cast seemed to be in agreement that this was done to get at Trevor Nunn. It seems some people don't want him to be succewssful anymore.

A few of them have been negative about Nunn's Porgy and Bess from some years ago which whenever it was mentioned in the few articles about him, in the run-up to GWTW was said to be innovative and highly successful. The re-working of history?

A lot of the audience tonight were American or Jananese. It seemed to be enjoyed by all. The emotion they all (the cast) showed was incredible.
