Bet that was Lainey. :D I see he's sung Minnie the Moocher again, and Summertime.

Would be lovely if a they actually did do a CD after all our past disappointments.

From what I've read over on D it seems on some of the songs, he's singing in his lower register. Pleased about that as I prefer it.
Lady is a Tramp certainly seemed lower to me from the last time at Ronnie's Chrysalis. Although, I have to say I loved his interpretation of That Ole Devil last time - beautiful vocal.

Looks like it's all over - 'til the next time. :D Perhaps one day, I'll get to see him really up close and personal.

I'm off to bed now - got to get up early in the morning - well early for me that is - 8.00a.m. Night night.

I think he was fragile last time and it came out in his performance - leaving in "him" in Is You Is and that sigh at the end of Ole Devil Called Love. Seems he changed him to her and actually sang the right words to Got You Under My Skin :P

Would love to hear Smooth Operator - he loves his Sade

Well judging by accounts on Dev it was a very special night and Will was on top form - would love to hear Summertime and Smooth Operator - they sound like the highlight of the set
I really hope he does it again and for longer. I'd so love to see him in a small venue like RS.

Have to agree munchkin, but being selfish I hope it's not until I'm able to travel again.

You have every right to be selfish Chrysalis :friends: I too am hoping he'll perform there again when I'm in a better place to go and see him. Meanwhile, it's been lovely to hear all the reports and I haven't given up hope of a CD of some sort either :)

Somone spoke to Faye and suggests we are in for a lot of treats, and Will also said he was "finishing stuff"

Thanks Lainey  - it's 4 months now, but I'm getting there a day at a time.

The reports were so descriptive and exciting, I felt I was there - well almost. Red braces, wing collar, red socks and what I call his co-respondent shoes - I don't know - only Will could get away with that.

Must have missed that munchkin. :D :D Can't wait to see what's in the pipeline. :yahoo:

Sorry for being lazy but I'm just going to copy my post from Devoted as most things hve already been said.

How does he just keep getting better & better? I've always rated Will but his awesome talent left me speechless last night. His beautiful voice is in a different league to anyone elses .It was wonderful to watch a man in his element who just loves to sing.

Loved his rapport with the band & their mutual respect for each other. He didn't appear to me like a special guest but more like an intricate part of the set up. Loved seeing the mix of ages present & quite a few men in the audience from whom he received a tremendous reception. Diana Hardcastle couldn't have looked more proud than if she was his own mother. It's a truly special man who can evoke such love & loyalty in those that work with him.

When I first started following Will I wanted him to prove how good he was by outselling other artists. However more recently I have come to realise seeing him fulfilled both cratively & musically is much more important & last night confirmed it even more. He was in his element on that stage, enjoying it just as much as his audience. Next we have the festivals & who knows what other surprises. I'm certain he'll win over new fans, such a talent just can't be ignored.

Just want to thank my friends whose brilliant company made the night even more special, especially sunday for the ticket. It sounds likely that this won't be Will's last guest spot at Ronnie's Scott. I really hope that those who have been disappointed will get their chance real soon.

PS Sorry about editing your post munchkin. Must have been so tired last night when I got on here that I posted my thoughts in your post. All sorted now.

Great that you had such a fabulous time TT. Read all the reports - could almost have been there - in fact I had a dream last night that I was. It was all so real I was quite certain - then I woke up. :(

Perhaps you or Suggy (when she emerges) could do us a little favour. ;)

Hello everyone, I'm back, all refreshed and wide awake now, mood......... very happy and fulfilled. :yahoo:

I'm know I'm very late posting, but I didn't get back from London until tea-time yesterday and I just had to have a sleep, -_- but I went on Devoted last night and read all the wonderful reports. I'd just like to add my little bit now and to say a very special thanks to BYM&M's for the ticket, it was such a fantastic day from start to finish and to spend it in such lovely company again and friends as well. :friends: It's all been said now but Will was absolutely wonderful and once again, "Summertime" was the absolute stonker for me, Will doing a Will and it was lovely to see all the audience giving him such a fantastic response, I even saw a large guy get to his feet and applaud him with his hands raised above his head, after he'd sang Summertime. B) So many of his friends there as well, Tom and Diana were both acting like proud parents, I was certain Karen and Shelley Poole were sat to the right of them as well, did anyone else notice? I agree with TT as well, it's not important to me anymore about outselling anyone, Will's beyond all that now, he's doing what he loves and is such a tremendous talented singer and performer, it's much more satisfying and long lasting. He'll be around and successful for as long as he wants to be. I bet Will would love to buy his own Jazz club in the future and sing there with a resident band all of his own. B) Looking forward to see what he sings at the festivals now and then on to the new album and a tour. :cheer:
