The indie disco perfection of Century hangs on for a second week at the top but it was seriously challenged by The Kills second single from the new album Midnight Boom which outperforms U.R.A. Fever (#4 in January). The big new entry is at #3 as Gnarls Buckley enters with their slightly skewed take on a 60s soul tune. This really took me by surprise when I saw the video on Tv and is easily the best thing they have recorded. Two risers into the top 10 are Amy Winehouse and the wonderful new Portishead single at #7 and #9 respectively.

Other new entries come in further down - #11 Long Blondes and #14 Guillemots. Only one other song rose as The Kelly Affair continued to bobble around the bottom half of the Top 20.
