I don't get it with you Mushyman! Some post of yours I'm in total disagreement and then others - its like you're taking the words right out of my mouth. UB40 - I don't get it either! I've always hated them. Norma Sorry - hated is a little extreme! They're just so bloody boring! Edited April 8, 200817 yr by Norma_Snockers

UB40 - I don't get it either! I've always hated them. Norma Sorry - hated is a little extreme! They're just so bloody boring! it would be boring if we all agreed on all points.... me n scott (grimly), russ, craig etc often agree on some points but are totally opposed on others. thats life. i dont expect to agree with them on everything, but have a mutual respect for opposing views. this board needs opposing views to create discourse, thats far more entertaining/interesting then all of us sitting around agreeing with eachother!

Agreed then! We can agree on some and disagree on others! BTW - I hope I've not offended by some of the posts of yours I've disagreed with ... being a northerner and a big-mouth ... I sometimes come across as a bit of a witch! But I'm not really! Norma
April 8, 200817 yr UB40 were really good when they first had hits. They were political and a good reggae band. Then Labour of Love happened and they basically went soft and $h!te.

BTW - I hope I've not offended by some of the posts of yours I've disagreed with ... being a northerner and a big-mouth ... I sometimes come across as a bit of a witch! But I'm not really! Norma lol.. not at all.... i too can be quite rude, hard, agressive. i think in perspectives we often come across like that, but like politicians generally we respect differing viewpoints even if we violently disagree. i think the younger members dont quite get it, ive seen posts by younger peeps who think that some of us are arrogant, rude etc... thats because they personalise whats being said. ive known grimly now for 4 years online, we agree and disagree passionately on some points, but when we dont agree its the point that we dont agree with.... not the person himself. ive had most disagreements with craig, but i treat every one of his posts on the merit of the post and not because its craig posting it... and i wont automatically agree with grimly just because we 'go back' along way... so the trick is to detatch the poster from the post... if you get what i mean... :) and treat every post on its own merit.
April 8, 200817 yr UB40 were really good when they first had hits. They were political and a good reggae band. Then Labour of Love happened and they basically went soft and $h!te. That sums it up perfectly. Songs like Food For Thought, 1 in 10 & King were/are brilliant. But then they turned into the Status Quo of Reggae.
April 8, 200817 yr the Status Quo of Reggae. Yes! Once good, lost it completely yet they just won't go away! Perfect description.
April 8, 200817 yr Author well ive resisted saying what i think.... but its already been said! early few singles were great, one in ten, earth dies screaming, king/food for thought... but then.... urgh.
