Just wondering whether there are some songs by certain artists you wouldn't normally like, but you kind of like one or two songs by them.

For instance I don't like Rod Stewart, and would never buy any of his stuff but I quite like him singing:

Maggie May

Handbags & gladrags

In a broken dream

rods vers of 'handbags' was dire m8... try chris farlows version... far better by a million miles. :)

i like quite alot, but im not a 'fan' of any one or more acts. i reckon every track should be regarded on its own merit regardless of who sings it...

i detest barry white but 'sho u right' was good...

Maybe I was thinking of the stereophonics version

oh lord...thats a poor rod cover... it has been said that the best version is by the composer... mike d'arbo of manfred mann fame, i dont agree.

Does the same go for S Club 8? :)

Well until they reformed with really good material this century, then the best example that comes to my mind is Take That - Back For Good.

Paris Hilton - Stars Are Blind. :(

Joss Stone - Fell in Love with a Boy...

Don't start with the appalling cover of The White Stripes. Joss Stone is tripe full stop!

And I thought this was retro! Had to stop myself going on about Paris as well.

The winner for me has to be Elton John but then I said all this in a identical thread about 3 months ago (I think!)
