April 12, 200817 yr Yeah, I'm sure we'll work something out later. Re Paul O'Grady. It's so good to hear Darius laugh out loud spontaneously. I love his laugh. It's so distinctive.
April 12, 200817 yr It's cruel to talk about it then. I won't say anything else about it until you do.
April 12, 200817 yr I've now seen it - I'm so glad. Did anyone else feel that Darius was acting very differently? It was as if he was Rhett, very confident and in control.
April 12, 200817 yr yes, I thought so, I thought he was fantastic - its so great that rachel has put it up on site, I dont have to sit through the rest of the show. Really enjoyed watching it through again.
April 12, 200817 yr I think that might have been because Paul let him say his piece and Darius wasn't constantly having to find ways to introduce what he had to say to promo the show. Isn't Anne Reid lovely? -a real lady. We're fed up with the PI/Popstars thing haunting D, but poor Anne is still plagued with the Corrie label 40 years after her character died.
April 12, 200817 yr I don't think she's ever lacked work thouygh, has she? Her abilities have got her through - and she's still here.
April 12, 200817 yr That's what must be so frustrating. She's been in so many better things in the theatre and on TV. She's excellent in Dinner Ladies on TV. You'd think it would be what she's best known for because it's been on most recently. Maybe it's because she was a Barlow and often when they make a show about Corrie they used the clip of Val's death by hairdryer.
April 13, 200817 yr It was back in the days where the media didn't reveal which actors were leaving or the plots. The sudden death of a beautiful, young character by electrocution had a great impact. Can anyone make out what Paul says to Darius about a razor when he greets him? Edited April 13, 200817 yr by Baytree
April 13, 200817 yr I've watched it several times on TV and on here and it's the one bit I just can't make out at all.
April 14, 200817 yr I can't even make out razor. We'll have to wait for dd - she should be able to help.
April 14, 200817 yr that was interesting, she was so nice - I was really supirsed when she mentioned Corrie - I had no idea she had been in it or who she was! but it did make me think, if she had had the press carping on about it for all that time!
April 14, 200817 yr I've never really watched soaps. Going by the people around me, they seemed to tie them down so much. Conversations about the characters as though they were real also used to get me. The cast are actors.
April 14, 200817 yr IMHO Shaun Williamson's career was set back because viewers couldn't differentiate between stupid Barry and talented Shaun. I wonder what Shaun is in next. I thought he made a fantastic Nathan Detroit.
April 14, 200817 yr I really enjoyed that. All the cast was so good. Well, they wouldn't have got the parts if they weren't
