I would've jumped inside it anyday, when Elvis was wearing it. :yahoo: :w00t:
April 10, 200817 yr Will they bid for it do you think? I think it should be given to Graceland and like Carole said, it should be put in Graceland Archives. They shouldn't have to bid for it really, we all know where it should belong :cheer:
April 10, 200817 yr Author It really bugs me when this sort of thing gets into private collectors hands :( This sort of thing should be displayed at Graceland for all Elvis fans to see. It's part of Elvis history and should be included in the new Jumpsuit display!

April 27, 200817 yr Author New Elvis Auction :cheer: http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y48/elvis1959/auction_whiteleather.jpg Regency Superior has announced a new Elvis related auction for May 3rd. Among the 20+ items are signed Sun-records, promotional 78 rpms, contracts, signatures, pictures and even a 2 piece buff-colored leather suit, custom made for Elvis by the famous North Beach Leather Company (bearing its label). The jacket, the highlight of the Elvis items, is hand-stitched, 5-button, with 2-button cuffs. The pants, also hand-stitched, feature a football-style fly, and slightly bell-bottomed. The suit appears moderately worn with some sweat stains. Even Elvis, apparently, appreciated a casual Friday in Las Vegas. This leather suit was one of his favorites and sometime around 1974 had similar ones made for the stage. It is very similar to his 'Mermaid' and 'Rainfall' suits. The suit was a gift from Vernon Presley to Jim Curtin. (Letter of authenticity from Jim Curtin included). Source: ElvisMatters / Updated: Apr 27, 2008 Imagine me rolling up at school wearing that cool suit  Mind you, Elvis was about 9 inches taller than me so I would have to roll the trousers up a fair bit :yahoo:
April 27, 200817 yr Author He was either 6' or 6' 1/2", it depends on the source of the info, Paul ;) Whichever it is, I would only come up to somewhere on his chest, and I can't think of a nicer place to be  :yahoo:
April 27, 200817 yr Author Here are some more items on sale by Regency Superior ;) I'd always be cautious when it comes to signed items though :) http://search.liveauctions.ebay.com/search...lo%29&fgtp=
April 27, 200817 yr As wonderful as it would be to own a signed item, you would always have your worries about authenticty. I remeber Frank Skinner buying an Elvis shirt on tv one time, but it really didn't look like the one Elvis was pictured in IMO. One of Elvis' friends/ bodygaurds, signed a letter of authenticity, but I wasn't convinced. Edited April 28, 200817 yr by B.P.

I remeember that Frank Skinner story, and he was quite disappointed when he found out it might not be authentic.
April 29, 200817 yr Yeah and he paid thousands for the shirt too  I have gone off Frank's comedy in recent years, but he does seem like a true Elvis fan, so he can't be all bad :) I think a big part of me not watching him anymore, apart from the fact he isn't on tv at the moment, is because he insists on singing at the end of his shows, and he really isn't very good at all :puke2:
