I am sure we will get the album but her record company would just let it flop and just let her go.

What can they do though? She's in an even worse position than last time because radio now refuse to play her. I don't see how it can do well but I'll just be glad to get it now.

I can't believe how long they are taking to announce this album.

I'll just be glad/relieved to get it at this stage, I don't care that it won't do at all well now.

I heard it's now gonna be out in October according to Sophie.

 

REALLY this is like the 3000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000th delay, and I'm pretty much done with her.

The record company really need to get their act together. The album has been delayed several times now and lack of news/promotion isnt helpful for sophie to re-establish herself as a popstar.

:( This girl is so done now, totally finished. They may as well just bung it out as a low key release just so we (the fans who've stuck by her through all the mess) at least just have it.

What a mess, she is mucking us about so much and i am tired now, i may not bother with the album no matter how good it is :angry:

Sophie Ellis-Bextor has revealed that she is unsure over which single she is releasing next.

 

The 'Bittersweet' singer has admitted her label are undecided on whether to release her collaboration with DJ Armin Van Buuren 'Not Giving Up', or the song 'Can't Fight This Feeling' featuring Junior Caldera, which has already been released in parts of Europe.

 

She told Hard Candy Music: "There's a song I did with Armin which will definitely be a single called 'Not Giving Up', and then I also wrote a song with French DJ called Junior Caldera which was released in France and some places around Europe.

 

"It has been doing well, so I think they're going to be bringing that out, [but] it's the same label bringing out both tracks so I'm not sure what order we're going to go for yet."

 

Ellis-Bextor also revealed that the music video for 'Not Giving Up' could be filmed in Ibiza.

 

She said: "I think it's around Armin's schedule a bit because I have to go where he is and he's DJ-ing around the world all the time. I think it might be in Ibiza because he is doing a residency there."

 

Sophie Ellis-Bextor is due to release her fourth studio album Straight To The Heart later this year

Mhm, I really hope Just Can't Fight This Feeling will end up on the album. That would mean 14 tracks! But I would love a video on Ibiza. I think she should go for Not Giving Up on Love

I thought "can't fight this feeling" wasn't supposed to be on the new album? I bought the french cd single. Its a very good song.

I guess they have to try any angle they can at this stage, given her career's at the lowest it's ever been.

JCFTF might actually be a good choice. I was just listening to it again and it would do absolutely great in clubs.

I think it's most likely to end up as the single 'cause it won't cost the label much since there is already a video and remixes are already done. It's good to go.

I think the label should just release 'Just Can't Fight This Feeling'. It already has a video made for it, just put it on music channels, get some promotion and then it could do quite well, especially in clubs.

I'm suddenly excited for her album again. After about a year of looking forward to it I kinda lost interested since I didn't think it was going to come anytime soon.

But Sophierazzi says the label is busy planning release and concert dates.. so ...

 

I really want to hear Starlight now!! I LOVE that from the live performance.
