September 22, 200816 yr I honestly dont know when would be the best time to realese it, i think January would be better than in the Christmas run though.
September 23, 200816 yr It would also be likely to be lost in the run-up to the christmas rush if it was released in October anyway, sort of like Shoot From The Hip did. I'd rather they waited until the new year to make sure they get this right to be honest, I won't be happy if they fuck this up like they did with TTLF. -_- Yet, Catch you was released in Jan and all the follow up just flopped a big time, I am not very optimistic.
September 23, 200816 yr 'Catch You' was released towards the end of February actually. But anyway, this time the album is being released off the back of the first single, which may avoid some of the release fuck ups they made the last time around (i.e. not releasing 'Me And My Imagination's download until the Tuesday of it's physical week).
September 27, 200816 yr Author Seems like it keeps being put back - Jan is a bad time I think - she will miss out on xmas sales!
September 27, 200816 yr I think it's perfectly reasonable really, TTLF was released in May of last year and most artists on average leave a 2 year gap or more.
September 27, 200816 yr Author Mind you IF the album is AMAZING it shouldnt matter what time of the year its out - one things for sure though it needs more promotion this time round!
September 27, 200816 yr TTLF was amazing and worth the wait but after a flop I think its more wise to try and get a new album out there to make up for the lasts bad sales.
October 2, 200816 yr I think it would've been kinda nice to have a singles collection just before the new album release... similar to what Christina is doing. I would definitely make it my first import/purchase of her's! Still, I'm looking forward to the new album!
October 2, 200816 yr And what a joke Christina's GH is turning out to be. :P I'm really glad Sophie's waited to have 4 albums worth of singles before a GH really.
October 3, 200816 yr Author Im sure (I hope) Sophies management know what they are doing this time around
October 4, 200816 yr I think January is a good time to release to be honest. If it was released b4 xmas, it would probably be swallowed up in the xmas market.
October 26, 200816 yr A fan who spoke to Sophie the other day got the following information... - The album is definitiely released in January. - Neither 'Off And On' or 'Heartbreak Make Me A Dancer' will be the first single (phew). - Another Rimmel advert will be showing soon with a new Sophie song in it, possibly the new single.
October 26, 200816 yr Oooh, thanks for posting Aly. Im really pleased she's not going with neither Off and On or HMMAD.
October 30, 200816 yr Here's a link to a behind the scenes video of Sophie shooting the new rimmel ad, you can here a new song presumably called sophia in the background. Link
