Well, I was wondering. How long will it take for Anastacia to been seen as a 'Legend'?

I think, partially, she's done it already, but to really be seen as a legend, she'll need more time and music.

If you see Whitney Houston, one of the best known female singers ever, has only released 6 studio albums (and 3 compilations), and she IS a legend. Will Ana be able to reach that after 6 studio records?

 

I think she will. Not in the states obviously, but here in Europe, she has a rep. The little white one with the big black voice. Everyone knows her as this tiny tough white girl with this huge voice. She's got enough to distinguish herself from the rest.

At least another 20 years.

In fact, I don't think she will. :lol: Whitney Housten has done something, 'I Will Always Love You' is a hit known by everyone by her legendary belting. Anastacia has yet to make any song like that. But it's not always about the voice. Take Madonna, she's revolutionized herself, her music, style, everything about her, it influences people, something Anastacia has also yet to of done.

 

Although she has a unique voice, there is nothing that she hasn't done yet to make her an icon.

Even if she broke America, she wouldn't be seen as a legend. :lol: She's only been around for 8 years, and only being active for around 4 of them years. When she finally starts to do something, them maybe people will start noticing her more. :lol:

to be a legend u need huge hits and release quite a few albums. it can be done with the right albums, selection of singles etc. she would have to tour a lot and keep herself in the public eye.

 

i doubt it though she would want that herself, to become a legend. u just dont become a legend i guess its up to the people in the industry and its a label that people put on u.

Nope he's not a legend IMO.

A legend is someone who's made a permenent influence on music and he hasnt done that IMO.

People who have: Michael Jackson, Madonna :wacko: , Tina Turner, Celine Dion etc.

Just because some people like her songs dosn't mean she's a legend. :P She needs to influence people with her music. She needs to create or spark up some generation of music. Sprock isn't going to do that. :lol: And not just the music, she needs to do something. Madonna, musical icon. She's created some of the words most campest hits and controversial videos. Michael Jackson has inspired hundreds of the RnB Artists hitting the charts today, Whitney, Celine, Tina, Mariah, Aretha, musically amazing woman who have braced something with their voices in the charts.

 

Anastacia is an inspiration to woman for cancer, but that dosn't make her a good artist. :P

IMO Robbie Williams will be considered a legend (Especially in the UK). He's the only artist ever to have over 5 albums sell over or around 2 million copies - that's legendary surely. Then he touched millions upon millions of people with "Angels" - possibly one of the biggest hits ever in England!

 

However, Anastacia has a long way to go until she will even be anywhere near legendary status! And that "big black voice" really isn't that big..infact it's just a little above average!

Here Here. ^ You're right about Angels, that like the unofficial Uk anthem. However, her voice is hardly just average though. She can hit notes in the 5th and 6th octave. Thats more than pretty amazing tbh.
