It took 7 years to hear just how deep and strong that bass can be - "war's deleterious to trade" - spine tingling.

I was listening to "Stars" from Les Mis last night. Great song. It was sung by the wonderful Philip Quast. Javert is a baritone's role. I'd love to hear what Darius could do with "Stars", but I wouldn't want to see him caught up in MT again until well after I have his 3rd album of his own songs in my collection.

Do you think he'll take the hint? You can do what you want AFTER YOU'VE GIVEN US THE ALBUM.
Is it time to start now? Not that he;d take the slightest bit of notice. He'll go which way the wind blows - as long as it's the way he wants to.
I did tell him I wanted to hear more of his own music.
I think we all think that BUT I dont think releasing this year is a good thing. There is a lot of opposition coming out between now and Xmas which means a lot of opposition promoting themselves during that time and at least one is in the musicals sphere possibly more than one and to promote at that time c ould be very hard especially if you have been away.
If he waits until the coast is clear he could end up waiting forever. I'd like it early next year. I doubt he'd have time before then.

Give the poor guy time to recover from GWTW. I should think he is ready for a break before he gets

his nose down to the grindstone again.

But he must enjoy some parts of putting out an album more than others.
yes, we all enjoy some parts better than others.

Just about covers it, Meg. He is not really happy with TV interviews but he enjoys singing. Publicity interviews

must be quite harrowing when he is aware that many of his words will be twisted or deliberately misinterpreted.

But he likes people and that makes it Ok. He's very much a people person - and it shows.
If he had gone into medicine, he would never have completed his ward rounds in time.
He'd have driven the ward staff to distraction - they'd have liked him though simply because he cares.
But wouldn't it be nice if you were sick to have Darius examine you. A private consultation, with the curtains drawn.

At least you would be able to understand what he said. I've come into contact with too many foreign doctors who, although they obviously know their stuff, talk such broken english that I find it difficult to understand them - mostly

locums and hospital doctors. Maybe it's just my bad luck to find them. I suppose many train here, then go back

to their own country, where they will be excellent doctors. They must think I'm thikko, because if I don't understand

I panic, which doesn't help.
