My cari s my little indulgence. i used to happily get up much earlier and take a train then bus to my work each day. I believe the transport links are still pretty good. I could get rid of my car tomorrow and still get about with no difficulty.

That's why I like living in London. Transport all day and all night.

I'd love to live just outside London so I could have fun in London at the weekends but not have to live in all the bustle.

And have the river running at the end of the road, shops and the peace of walking without traffic. I'd just like to be rich enough to be able to stay in London when they make the show a long one.

I wonder why...

....could it be 'cos it's so good :D

I've just watched the WOS video....:)

I thought it was great....so did all those hundreds who stood up at the end clapping and cheering!!

I love sitting out in the sun, a nice cool breeze keeping the temperature down but, my head doesn't. WHAT A WASTE.
I was telling my daughter about the show while taking her to work just now - got to the lullaby and started blubbing, much to her amusement, but I really couldnt get through explaining how he sings it to her to get her to sleep because she is scared of the dark..etc..could hardly speak by the time I was saying about the tears running down his face, ,

I am back in devon and so wishing I lived nearer to london so I could go and see the show again. I did make a long weekend of it thursday to sunday, it was expensive but I havent had a real holiday for several years and the shows on its own was so worth it.We did pack in other things like a trip down the thames b y boat, covent garden which musically happened to be really tops, the aquarium not worth the cost an d saw the new st pancras station. The night of the show when we came out we were without any transport and could not find a taxi so at ll.30 we were wandering around near covent garden and got lost. we couldnt find our bus stop which ran all night but eventually stumbled on a taxi rank near the lion king, I was really getting nervous of getting back to our hotelbut there were no taxis available an d a man eventually took pity on us and stopped the next free taxi for us even though there was a queue waiting, we got back at midnight. Another day we took a bus to the london eye and found ourselves travelling through the elephant and castle, then bermondsey an d had to get off in del boy country, peckham and then go back to waterloo.

Still the weather was ok and we didnt have to pay on any bus rides. I slept most of the coach ride back home. My son is taking us with him to butlins in three weeks, the last time I was there so was Darius, hope its not chico!!! this time.

Who knows, Preston, you may like Chico. He's not got a voice like Darius but they say he is a showman.

We didn't see Darius tonight but we saw the small lit sign in Picadilly Circus - I'll put it up tomorrow. Also, ik travelled up to London with a lady who was quite jealous that I had tickets for Gone With the Wind next week, she'd been trying to get tickets but hadn't been able to. Nina and I had discussed getting extra tickets,. since we were there, but the booking office showed me the seating plan absolutely covered in red (all sold). We didn't get to go but it was nice to know it's doing so well.

While we were there one man passed saying to his friend ' I can't understand why anyone would go and see that after what the critics have said' and a few minutes later another man saying to his friens ' This is closing soon, it was in the papers'.

I think I'll go with the people who can make up their own minds.

My afternoon/eve out in London

WOW was that the illuminated sign in Picidilly, Darius looks wonderful - we didnt stop there, though I had read there was on eup - went through to Covent Garden - didnt see anything there, although on the way back seeing the huge billboard like your sig at beaconsfield station made me beam!

London looks amazing with that sunset as a backdrop. It quite makes me want to go.

The going home pic could be a postcard. Beautiful colours.

Love that sign in Piccadilly.

It's a shame you couldn't get extra tickets but it's good to know that GWTW is doing well on weekdays as well as at the weekend, despite the roasting from the critics.
