I'm just grateful they're here to boost the number of doctors in the NHS.

There was a miscalculation not too long ago and we as a nation weren't training enough doctors to fill the jobs of those who retired or took consultancy posts abroad.

I think the adjustments made are now filtering through. A lot of my friends have been operated on far sooner than they expected. I can see improvements certainly where I live in Glasgow.

I think a pleasant manner goes a long way. I hate having a doctor who trats you like a lump of meat.

I've been very fortunate. All of the GPs in our practice have been well skilled and always willing to talk through any concerns etc. They are very good at getting their patients seen by specialists too. Even the locums seem to be hand picked.

I was very grateful for one particular locum when he swiftly diagnosed that my mother had had a heart attack. I'd thought she'd had another of the series of mini-strokes she was afflicted with. She was in intensive care within the hour.

All the doctors I have met have been very nice people. It's just me that seems to have a communication problem with a few of them. The media pulls down the NHS, but I have always found it to give excellent service.
I think a lot of the negativity is spread by the media. It's not perfect and things go wrong but for every blip, much more wonderful work is going on and people are been cared for from the cradle to the grave. It was a great idea when it was first formulated and it's still a great idea. I'd willingly pay a penny or so more in income tax if it was ringfenced, to keep the NHS delivering as it was envisaged.
I have no idea what the doctors in my practice are like since I haven't been to see them in over seven years.
I think I have taken Hayley once to the doctor's since we moved here. Never taken Claire.
Charles' foot made him go and see his works doctor - he hasn't actually got one of his own.

Sorry! We have a large panel of doctors but I don't know the others even by sight, just the one we've been

with for years.

Foot or doctor?

He decided to keep his own foot - the doctors were too small - he'd have fallen over.

I've just never got Damien Hirst. I just don't see the value added to the zebra itself to warrant such a price tag. I think I prefer to see the breathtaking beauty of living, breathing zebras via the magic of TV/ video.

Most modern art is a con, although Dali was the only one to openly admit it. I much prefer Dali's whimsical

approach to the more modernistic works of Picasso.....these seem so stilted and formal.

I like both. Some of their work apeals to me other peices don't. pretty typical of me really.
